Since you are a 12th pass you are eligible for the course. You need to enroll for the first stage of this course i.e. CPT. The total cost for this level is Rs 9000/- which will include the registration and the tuition fees. On clearing the first level you are eligible for the next level i.e. PCC. The cost of this level is Rs 4000. In this level you will need to undergo a training in IT for 100 hours . For this the cost is Rs 2000/-. Only after clearing this level you are eligible for the final level. You will need to pay Rs 8500/- for this level. Along with this it is a must that the candidate should do his articleship under a registered CA.

CA is the abbreviation for Chartered Accountancy. As to join the CA course students need to have successfully passed their +2. The CA course will take up to 5 years for its completion. The CA courses is controlled by the ICAI and they are the concerning authority which held exams for CA. There are mainly 3 steps involved in the CA. they are CPT, PCC and the final exam. The CPT is the initial stage and the fee structure for this include a registration fee of Rs. 1500 and a tuition fee of Rs. 7500/-. For the PCC exam which is the second stage will charge the students with a fee of Rs.4000. Candidates will also have to pay Rs. 2000 for the registration for 100 hours of IT training. The CA course also has a final exam which the students need to pass in order to become a registered CA and the fee includes Rs.8500. The overall fee for the CA course is about Rs.17500.

Since, you completed your 12th in 2006 I hope you must have completed your graduation even. Well CA course is divided into 3 section

    CPT
    IPCC
    FINAL

If you have completed you graduation you'll get exemption from first group CPT and you may enrol for IPCC directly.

IPCC have two groups after passing either you may register for articleship training.

After completion of IPCC both groups exam register for FINAL and appear for the exam pass it complete your 3 years of articleship and you will get your CA designation.

Exam are held twice a year in june and in december.

For your help I'm attaching a file which will make you understand the steps inolved in becoming CA.

    Please find the attachment.
