    AFMC Exam conducted by armed forces for medical officers .
    After completion of course you can join Air Force as Medical officer .

    Eligibility Criteria for AFMC Exam:-

    You must have completed 10+2 from any recognized school or board.
    You must have Physics , chemistry , Biology and English as subject combination.
    You must have secured at least 50% marks in 10+2 for being eligible.
    You must have age of 17 years.

    Hai,

    If you are willing to become a doctor in Air force then you have to appear for an entrance exam conducted by armed forces i.e.., AFMC(Armed Forces Medical College) Exam.

    After completion of this course you can become a doctor in Air Force.

    Eligibility Criteria for this exam is:-

    • Should be a citizen of India
    • Should be unmarried
    • Should be physically fit and have to qualify in the medical exam conducted by armed forces.

    Age Limit:-

    • If you are passed 12th then your age limit should be between 17-21 years.Should not be less than 17 and more than or equal to22 years.
    • If you passed B.Sc or pursuing final year of B.Sc then that person should not have attained 24 years of age.

    • Should have qualified +2 with minimum 60% and taking subjects like Physics, Chemistry, biology and English are only eligible.
      (or)
    • Should be a graduate with B.Sc degree only from any recognized university.
    These category candidates are not eligible for this exam:-
    • Candidates passed in Domestic Science, Domestic Arithmetic, Lower Maths separately or in combination with other subjects like General Science/Social Studies etc..,
    • Candidates who passed in pre-degree/pre-university (one year course) or pre-professional in Agriculture/Veterinary/Dental Examination.
    • Candidates who have passed pre-professional degree as a private candidate.
    • Candidates who secured pre-requisite percentage but in subsequent attempts or compartment examination.

    you have one option
    all you need to do is appear for AFMC entrance. crack it and get admission to medical college.
    complete ur medical couse and AFMC allows u to serve in armed forces(navy,army,air force) as doctor(commisioned officer )
    duration of SSC(short service commission) seven years for doctors passed out of AFMC.

    DETAILS OF AFMC:
    COURSE DURATION:4 yr 6 months + 1 yr internship.
    ELIGIBILITY:citizen of India
    unmarried
    medically fit
    attained age 17yrs on 31st dec of yr of exam but not have attained age of 22.
    passed qualifying exam in 1st attempt
    not less than 50% in each subject(english,PCM),
    not less than 60% aggregate of all .

    AFMC exam notification:
    jan-feb (article in newspaper)
    may-exam
    june-results

    exam scheme:
    objective questions
    P-50
    C-50
    B-50
    intelligence ,logic,reasoning-25
    english,comprehension-25

    1mark for correct answer. 0.25 deducted for wrong answer

    Hello....
    If you want to serve your country with the combined field of medicine, it is an wonderworking thought.
    for this you have to
    1.you just have to finish your undergraduate degree in pre-medicine and keep up your grades.Also know your local Air force recruiter.
    2.You may have to apply for Health Profession to pay for the medical school.
    3.You have to complete a residency program at an Airforce hospital
    4.Begin your duty actively for the next 4 years. You will enter the service as a captain. You will have to do a service of 3 to 6 months as an assignment in another country at some time during the 4 year commitment.
    5.Serve reserve duty after you complete active duty. this is known as Individual Ready Reserve.At this time AIirforce doctors go into private.For every year of active duty you need to serve an year of reserve duty.

    Hello Friend

    It is good decision to join in Indian Air Force as a Doctor to serve for the Nation, i say that Yes it is possible to join in Indian Air Force as a Doctor, for this you have to follow certain rules and regulations.

    Indian Air Force does not conduct the direct recruitment of Doctors into its wing, you have to approach for the SSC (Short Service Commission) for the Army Medical Corps.

    Only the Indian citizens are eligible for joining as a Medical corps in the Indian Defense Services, and for this you must have completed your M.B.B.S (Bachelor in Medicine and Bachelor in Surgery) and your certificate must be recognized by State Medical council / M.C.I (Medical Council of India).

    If you are a P.g holder that is (MD/MS/MCh/DM) also you can apply for the SSC Army Medical Corps examination.

    You will be awarded with the rank "CAPTAIN" when you are serving in the Indian Defense Services as a Doctor.

    your age must not be exceed 45 years as on 31st December of the respective year of notification. If you are eligible in the written examination then you will be called up for the final interview and your job tenure will be given.

    To apply, you have to do is on a good quality (A4 size) duly completed in all respects strictly on the prescribed format as per the advertisement along with the attested copies of certificates should reach at the office of the Director General, Armed Forces Medical Services/DG - IA.

    The employment will be set for 5 years, after which it will be extended to 9 years based on your ability to hold the tasks.

    For becoming a doctor in air-force you will first have to meet the minimum eligibility criteria.

    The minimum qualification required is :-
    >>You must have completed your MBBS.
    >>Your degree must be recognized from the central university or from the state university.
    >>Your minimum age must not exceed more then 21 years.

    You will have to appear in the entrance test conducted by the respective body.
    The entrance test will be conducted in four phase.
    These are:-
    @written test.
    @physical fitness test.
    @medical test.
    @interview.

    The candidates who will passed in all the phases will be finally selected.
    The questions will be asked from the two papers.
    These two papers are:-
    >>subjects from 10+2 level .
    >>subjects include general papers.

    The subjects related papers include questions from:-

    @chemistry
    @biology

    The general papers include questions from :-
    @reasoning
    @english
    @general awareness
    @computer

    The exam notification related to your interest basically comes in the month of last week of january.
