    What is the procedure to become a CA after MCA?

    Hai,
    I have completed my MCA and am working but am very much interested in doing CA so can u please suggest me that can i do now and if so what is the procedure to under go to achieve CA.

    Dear Friend,

    You have done MCA but in this field you will have to cross all procedure..


    The structure for the CA are as follows:

    CPT

    IPCC

    Article ship Training

    Final CA


    First you will have to complete the CPT.

    After that you can go for the IPCC..

    then you can go for the Article ship Training.

    And then go for the Final CA...

    dear CA are useful for the commercial enterprise. charted accountants has versatility in career choosing:-
    [COLOR="blue"][U]whole time service,
    whole time practice,
    part time service/part time practice
    business/entrepreneurship
    in industry
    you have to cross three stages to complete this course
    • stage1:-CPT (common proficiency test)
    • stage2:-IPCC(integrated professional competence course)
    • stage3:-article ship and final course
    as you are masters degree holder you can directly enter into IPCC without CPT entrance exam.
    the fees for the IPCC registration is payable by way of demand draft /pay order in favour of secretary , institute of charted accountants of india which are payable at
    • mumbai,
    • Chennai,
    • new delhi,
    • kolkata,
    • Kanpur,
    you have to appear for teh exam after 9 years of registration ,
    the exam is conducted twice in a year in the month of may and November.
    IPCC SYLLABUS
    group-1
    • paper-1-accounting carries 100 marks,
    • paper-2-law,ethics,communication
    • part-1-law carries 60 marks,
    business law carries 30 marks,
    company law carries 30 marks,

    part-2-business ethics carries 20 marks,
    part-3-business communication carries 20 marks,
    • paper 3-cost accounting and financial management
    part-1-cost accounting carries 50 marks,
    part-2-financial management carries 50 marks,
    • paper 4-taxation
    part-1:income tax carries 50 marks,
    part2:service tax carries 225 marks and VAT 25 marks.

    group-2
    • paper-5 -advanced accounting carries 100 marks,
    • paper-6 - auditing and assurance carries 100 marks,
    • paper-7 - information technology and strategic management
    part-1: information technology carries 50 marks,
    part-2: strategic management carries 50 marks ,

    after passing the IPCE you are going to enter into the final course called ARTICLESHIP
    to write the article ship you should pass at least group-1 of IPCE and should have completed ITT of 100 hours.
    after the article ship you have to write the final course
    syllabus for the final course
    group-1
    • financial reporting,
    • strategic financial management,
    • advanced auditing and professional ethics,
    • corporate laws and secretarial practice
    group-2
    • advanced management accounting,
    • information systems control,
    • direct taxes,
    • indirect taxes,

    dear student,
    here is the proceedure of how you can become a CA after completing your
    M.C.A:-
    -> Pass CPT examination
    -> Register/Enroll for Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC)
    -> Complete 9 months of Study Course.
    -> Complete 100 hours of Information Technology Training (ITT).
    -> Complete Orientation Course (35 hours spread over one week).
    -> Pass Group I or both Groups of Integrated Professional Competence Examination (IPCE).
    -> Register as Articled Assistant for a period of 3 years.
    -> Pass Group II of IPCC if not already passed.
    -> Appear in Final Examination during last 6 months of 3 years of articled training.
    -> Pass both the Groups of Final examination.
    -> Get Final Examination Certificate.
    -> Complete remaining period of articled training, if applicable
    -> Complete Course on General Management and Communication Skill
    -> Enroll as a member of ICAI and designate as "Chartered Accountant"
