    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services and to become IAS Officer, you have to appeared for the UPSC Civil services examination, This examination is Conducted by UPSC Every year and the notification of this examination was already Published and availiable in the official website, The online Registrations was already started and the last date of apply for this examination is 05/March/2012. The Preliminary examination will be held on 20/May/2012.

    There is no "Offline" Application form facility and if you are Interested then you have to fill the application form online only. The cost of application form is Rs 50 and you have to pay the fees through any one of the modes :

    ~~ Pay the fees by SBI Debit/Credit Card
    ~~ Pay the fees by SBI NET Banking
    ~~ Submit fees direct in SBI Bank

    The examination is Conducted in 2 stages, Preliminary examination and Main examination and firstly you have to cracked the Preliminary examination, this examination is Objective and there are 2 papers in this examination, If you cracked Preliminary examination then you are eligible for Main examination, Main examination is Descriptive and you have to choose the subjects on the Basis of Graduation in Main examination.

    If you cracked the Preliminary examination, then you have to again submit the fees of Rs 200 for the main examination. The selection will be based on written test and Personal Interview.

    You will get limited limits to cracked the civil services examination, You have to cracked this examination with in 4 chances (If you are belong to general category), 7 Chances is applicable for OBC Candidates and no limits for SC/ST Candidates. If you fails to cracked this examination with given limits then you cant apply for this examination again in Future.

    To apply for this examination, you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised University, Final year appearing candidates are also eligible for Civil services examination, But you must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years, upper age limit will be relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, by 3 years for candidates of OBC.

    IAS exam organised by UPSC Civil services officers are selected through it , From Civil Service Examination , Preliminary Examination would consist of two papers-

    Paper I and
    Paper II.

    the procedure for applying the IAS prelims exam are as following------

    Economic and social development

    Interpersonal skills including communication skills

    To become a IAS officer,you should apply for Civil Service exam and should clear the exam with good score.Civil Service exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year once to take qualified student into different government service post.

    To appear for Civil Service exam,you should have completed graduation degree with any stream from a recognize university and your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

    After fulfilling with this criteria,then you can appear for civil service exam.Civil Service exam consist of Preliminary Exam and Main Exam.

    Preliminary exam notification released on 11th Feb 2012,closes on 5th March 2012 and exam will held on 20th May 2012.
    After clearing Preliminary exam,you will eligible for Main exam.
    Main exam will held on 15th Oct 2012.

    IAS exam selection procedure:

    you will have to face three stages of the IAS examination.
    Written test and personal interview.

    Eligibilty criteria for IAS:
    • Graduation from recognized university
    • age should be 21 to 30 years.
    • you can apply online by using the website http://upsconline.nic.in
    IAS Preliminary exam:
    The exam will be of objective type and is consist of two stages.
    First paper will contain the general studies of total 150 marks. and second exam will contain optional subject selected by candidate total 300 marks.Then you will have to sit for the IAS main exam.
    If you qualified in the preliminary examination then it will be followed by personal interview.

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative services .this exam is conducted by upsc for all india services.The notification are updeted into employment newspaper.upsc website.for this you have to appear in civil services examination which is conducted for all Indian services.
    For IAS exam you must have graduation degree from a recognised university.
    Your age is between 20 to 30 years.
    You have to be appear in civil servises exam.
    The eam consist of thtree stage :
    1 preliminary
    2 mains
    3 interview.
    Afte filling application from you will be alloted for preliminary exams.

    Age limits :
    21-30 years.

    age relaxation -
    5 year for SC/ST.
    3 years for OBC.

    Educational Qualifications :
    you have to complete your graduation degree in ant stream from a recognized university.

    No. of permissible attempts :
    4 - GEN.
    7 - OBC
