As you are a 12th pass out you are eligible to apply for the CLAT exam. But your aggregate score in the same should be more than 50%. If you belong to the SC/ST category or if you are physically handicapped you can still apply if you have an aggregate score of over 45%. Also you should not be over 20 years old. This is an aptitude oriented test. So you need to prepare for areas like English, GK, Maths, reasoning. There will also be questions from the legal awareness and aptitude areas. You will find the past papers online for your reference. You need to draw a DD of Rs 2500 in case you plan to apply for this test. To become a judge first you need to complete LLB also need to work as a lawyer. There are competitive tests which you need to clear to become a judge.

CLAT examination are for those candiadtes who are interested to get admission in UG and PG law course. And to appear for this entrance examination you should have passed Higher Secondary School / Intermediate Examination or its equivalent examination. But to appear for this examination you have to scored minimum 50% marks in your qualifying examination.

English including Comprehension - 40 Marks

General Knowledge/Current Affairs - 50 Marks

Elementary Mathematics - 20 Marks (Numerical ability)

Legal Awareness - 45 Marks

Logical Reasoning - 45 Marks.
