The percentage of marks required for each government job will differ. In most cases an average of 60% marks will be good to get in to government jobs. After B.Tech you can join for jobs in public sector companies. 60% of marks is necessary to attend this exam. Also you can apply for Specialist officer/PO post in banks. A job in defense sector is another option. If interested, you can build a good career in railways, income tax department, civil services etc after B.Tech. Hence it is always better to work hard so as to get jobs in any government departments.

It differs from sector to sector.
In some sectors 60% is mandatory and in some sectors they require only 50% or pass is required.
