To give IAS entrance exam one must have passed his/her graduation with minimum 50% of marks. There is no round off criteria in percentage, even the students having 49.8% is not eligible. You also must have satisfy the age criteria which is 21 to 30 years. If you are satisfying these criteria then you are eligible for exam. IAS is really a tough competitive exam you must have good language knowledge and general knowledge to clear the exam. You must be aware of all current affairs going around you. All the best for exam.

Indian Administrative services(IAS) is one of the most reputed and prestigious
services of Indian goverment for which entry is made through appearing in the
civil services examination conducted by the Union public service commission (UPSC)
every year. You are required to clear the Civil services examination. These examination
have a structure the first part of which is a preliminary objective examination.
If you are able to clear it, you are eligible for the mains examination which is the
second stage.Based on your performance, you will be given a interview call for appearing
before the interview board which is the final stage.
Now for eligibility you must be a graduate or you can say a Bachelors degree in any
discipline from a recognised university. There is no limitation of percentage for
appearing in this examination. You are also eligible if you are just pass in your graduation.

Re: What percentage is required in order to sit for IAS Entrance exam?

There is no such prescribed percentage which you should obtain in higher secondary or graduation in order to appear for the civil services
examination.Civil services exams are one of the most reputed exams of the country and every year lakhs of students appear for the same.
But if you are determined and have the spirit and passion to face the exams, you can definitely get selected.
So, actually you require to only qualify your graduation or in other words you just need to pass the exam in order to appear
for the preliminary exams that are the first exam that is conducted by UPSC.

The civil services exam is conducted in three stages as follows:
    1)Preliminary exams-
This is the initial level exam.It consists of objective type questions and it is the same for each and every candidate whether he is from
science or commerce or arts. There are questions based on mental ability, quantitative aptitude, english comprehension
    and general awareness.

    2)Mains exam-
This is the second and you can fill the form for this exam as and when the results of the preliminary exams are out.
This is a subjective examination and you are required to select subjects based on your preference and knowledge.

    3)Personal interview-
This is the last and the most crucial stage in the whole procedure. Many times even the deserving candidates are
eliminated at this stage. The interviewer would ask questions based on your knowledge and understanding.
