    the candidates who want to do IAS, they must satisfy following criteria..

    1.Candidate should be a graduate from recognized university with 50% of marks from any stream. it is 45% for SC/ST candidates.
    2.he should be Indian
    3.Age not more than 30 years.

    for obc 33 years, for SC/ST 35 years has given as a relaxation

    there is no criteria of percentage...you only have to pass your graduation..
    Educational Qualifications :

    Bachelorís degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification.
    age limit:
    21-30 years as on 1.7.2011. (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories.

    Indian Administration service exam exam is held once in year,this exam is conducted by upsc every years once.

    Eligibility criteria for IAS exam:
    Candidate should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
    Age should be between 21 to 30 years for General category candidates,21 to 33 years for OBC category candidates,21 to 35 years for SC/ST category candidates.

    Number of attempts:
    4 attempts for General category candidates
    7 attempts for OBC category candidates
    unlimited attempts for sc/st candidates.

    Note:Pass percentage is sufficient to appear for Indian Administration Service.

    Important dates for IAS exam:
    Indian Administration Service(Preliminary exam) Notification for this year:
    Issue of application form from 4th Feb 2012 to 5th March 2012.
    Exam will held on 20th May 2012.
    Indian Administration Service (Main Exam) notification for this year:
    Exam will held on 15th Oct 2012.
    Yet notification details,were not update,i hope they will be updating notification after preliminary exams.

    You must be an Indian..
    You must have completed your graduation..
    You dont have any age limit for applying this...

    IAS - Indian Administrative Service Exam IS conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) every

    it is the most intelligent exam To successfully join the Central Govt. service.

    It is the administrative civil service of the executive branch of the Government of the Republic of India.

    IAS Exam has three stages Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and an Interview

    Preliminary Pattern :- The prelims are held around May-June for duaration of 2 hours.

    Mains Pattern:- The main written examination usually takes place in Oct-Nov for 3 hours consisting of 9 papers

    Interview :- The interview calls are sent in March-April of the following year and they take place in the month of April-May.

    Minimum academic qualifications required :- A degree with 50 %

    The Indian Administrative Services (IAS) Exam is the most popular exam of the country. It is a part of the nationally renowned club of exams called as the Indian civil services exam conducted by the union public service commission for the post of high ranking officers in the administrative staff and the departments of India.
    The Indian civil services exams generally covers the posts in the following departments of India:
    1. Indian Administrative services: for the posts of officers in the administrative body of India
    2.Indian police service: for the post of officers and the ACP, DCP, SHO and DSP, etc.. in the police departments of India
    3.Indian foreign service: for the post of officers in the Indian foreign affairs and external affairs
    4.Indian forest service: for the posts of officers in the forests departments of India
    5.Indian customs and central excise services: for the post of officers in the tax departments and the ITO officers in India

    To be eligible for the IAS you have to fulfill the following eligibility criterias:

    The notification for the exam comes in the month of january to feb and the exam being conducted in the mid year. The exam consist of following three stages:
    1. Prelim exam: It is an objective type exam on general knowledge and an optional subject from: veterinaty sciences/medical/political/social sciences/maths/commerce/accountancy/zoology/botany/philosophy/psychology/public administration
    2. Mains exam: It is a written exam on essay writing, optional subject pair exam with two papers on each subject, general english, general awareness...
    3. Interview: after clearing the exam you are divided into the division you get qualified into based on your marks like wether you belong to the IAS, IPS, IFS, etc...and then you are called for the interview.

    since you are interested in IAS let me tell you that it is the topmost division and requires greatest skills and hard work to be on top. wish you good luck for it.

    candidate having bachelor degree is allowed for apply IAS.
    IAS is the civil service exam.it is one of the toughest and competitive exam.
    age limit is :21 to 30 years.for backward class 3 year more is allowed.for sc/st ,5 years more is allowed.
    you have to pass the written exam for joining the IAS.if you pass this written exam,then you are called for personal
    interview.you have to pass personal interview also.then you are called for medical test.if you passed these all interview,then you are
    eligible for join IAS.
    all these interview and written exam is difficult,you have to make hard work lot of like a drop of water in indian ocean.

    There in not hard & fast rule for percentage for IAS exam.
    You have only 50% in graduation.

    The eligibility for this exam is :
    you have only graduate in any stream which 50% marks.

    This exam is conducted by upsc (union public service commission) in every years. These forms will be come in District Head Post office.

    This has 3 stages for clearing this exam ;
    1. Pre exam
    2. Main exam
    3. Interview
    After this you become an IAS officer.

    for this exam
    General candidate put this exam only 4 times.
    OBC candidate put this exam only 7 times.
    SC/ST candidate put this exam many times. There is no bar for this.

    Dear pal,
    To become IAS you need to write the UPSC exam conducted by central government.
    The academic background with which you are eligible to write is pass in the .The age above which you will not be allowed to write the exam is 30 for the general,and 33 for OBC candidate,35 for the SC/St candidate.
    The number of attempts is restricted to 3 for general candidates,7 for OBC. The SC/St candidates have no restriction in the number of attempts.
    The percentage of marks required is just a pass in the exam

    There is No Minimum Percentage is Requires to apply for UPSC Civil services examination to become IPS Officer. If your aim is To become IPS Officer, then for this you have to apply for the UPSC Civil services examination, this examination was Conducted by UPSC Every year and the examination was Conducted into 2 stages : preliminary examination and main examination.

    Preliminary examination was Objective and there will be 2 papers in this examination and Both are of same marks and duration, Those who cracked the Preliminary examination are eligible for Main examination, In Main examination you have to choose the Optional Subjects because the main examination was descriptive.

    Eligiblity Criteria -

    >> You have to completed your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised university.

    >> Your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    the minimum eligibility for appear in IAS exam, which is conducted by UPSC is

    1. minimum marks 45% in graduation.

    2.maximum attempts for general candidates is four.

    maximum attempts for obc candidates is five.

    for sc candidates it is seven etc.

    you can apply for IAS exam by filling exam form.

    you can get exam form in post offices.

    IAS is an Indian Administrative Services which is conducted to recruit government post every year through CSAT i.e., Civil Services Aptitude Test.It has two modes
    Preliminary Exam
    Mains

    You need to have graduate in any discipline from a recognised University.
    Age limit must be between 21-30 years
    for SC/ST 5 years age relaxation is applicable
    For OBC it is 3 years
    For Defence Personnel it is 5 years
    You need to have a percentage of atleast 60%.

    Paper Pattern for prelims:held in the month of May-June
    Optional subjects (300 marks)
    Psychology,sociology,philosophy,agriculture,maths, phy,chem,stats etc.

    IAS exams are conducted every year by UPSC exams & paper followed same sy upsc.To become ias is no so easy,lot of tests are carried out to judge a student for ias officer.Thousands of applicants appear every year but only few get selection.Selection criteria is different from other tests.First test is preliminary test & ten main & after that interview.Candidates ave to pass each & every tests that ad been conducted.
    ELIGIBLITY:- Candidates must hold a degree in any discipline from a rcognized university wit minimum 50 % marks,should be the citizen of India,Should be physically fit.Age limit is 21-30 years of age.

    It is need not necessary to secure a certain percentage of marks in Bachelors degree in order to be eligible for IAS Exam. There is no percentage criteria to be eligible for IAS Exam. A candidate have to finish Bachelors degree with any of the stream from a recognized university in order to be eligible for IAS Exam.

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. There is no separate exam to become IAS Officer. But instead, one has to appear for civil services examination which is being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year.

    It is not sure that a candidate will definitely be placed in IAS. A candidate may be placed in any of the civil services like
    -IAS (Indian Administrative Service)
    -IPS (Indian Police Service)
    -IRS (Indian Revenue Service)

    According to the UPSC guidelines..the following candidates are eligible for appearing in the UPSC Civil Services Exam :-

    1) The candidate must be a graduate degree holder or should be in the final year of graduation from a recognized college

    2) The candidate must be within the age limit of 21-30 years for general category,21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST

    The maximum number of attempts permitted for the general category is 4,for OBC it is 7 and for SC/ST there is no limit..

    the candidates who want to do IAS, they must satisfy following criteria..

    1.Candidate should be a graduate from recognized university with 50% of marks from any stream. it is 45% for SC/ST candidates.
    2.he should be Indian
    3.Age not more than 30 years.

    The minimum percentage required is 60% with any discipline in the graduation. If you are thinking to enter in the IAS exam then it is very good but you should do very hard work so that you can clear the all pre and main exam and be selected in the topper lists. You can select any one subject as the main and then start your preparation with more efforts so that you can full fill your dream.

    Dear Aspirant,
    No percentage is required of bachelor degree for a candidate to give IAS entrance exam. Only pass in Bachelor degree is enough for any candidate to apply for IAS entrance exam.
    Interested candidates have to keep in mind the age criteria for applying for IAS entrance exam, which is:
    . For unrerved- 21 to 30 years.
    . For SC and ST- 21 to 35 years.
    . For OBC- 21 to 33 years.

    There are no limit percentage required in the graduation degree to appear in the IAS examination only pass the graduation degree is enough to appear in the IAS entrance examination. IAS is the one of the civil services examination which is conducted in every year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

    To appear in the IAS examination you need the following eligibility criteria.
    • Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognize University.
    • The age must be between 21 to 30 years.
