Re: What percentage is required in 10th class?

In 10th class you will get the minimum percentage as 60%.
If you prefer IIT-JEE then you have to pass your10th with at least 60% of marks.
And some of the MNC's also offers the percentage in 10th.
In 10th you have to maintain a good percentile.
    Good luck..........

actually there r so many different measurement in different state board examination for percentages like grade wise system (A1 A2 B1 B2 etc.), Marks System ranking System etc.
your question is not clear for which segment you required percentage in 10 th class.
    for Govt.Jobs.LiKe In Defense
U have to get above 60% for getting Gov.Job for private Job u should get above 75%
    for Higher Education
averagely its better to get best of the best percentage u can
u should clear in your own path
anyways all the best and clear yourselves while asking question

Re: What percentage is required in 10th class?

percentage means it depends on your capability , try to maintain above 75 percentage , above 70 means now a days is common in 10th.
If you can get above 90% means you can get free education in private colleges for intermediate.
and If your interested in science stream you can opt for BiPC (Biology,Physics and Chemistry) these course is for MBBS or Bio-Technology and B-Pharmacy.
And your interested in maths means better go for MPC(Maths,Physics and Chemistry) at the same time take a EAMCET coaching it is for engineering or degree, in any field you can go.

    All the best......

Re: What percentage is required in 10th class?

    Hello friend !!

For any field to step in after your 10th standard you must need a min of 60% plus or atleast 55% .

If you are willing to go for Intermediate then you need a min percentage .
But as upto now all the Intermediate College Fee is increased rapidly , they are charging around 25,000/- per annum for a PCM background .
So if you maintain a percentage of 80+ then you have many chances to get in a top college with very low tuition fee .

But for Diploma which is 3yr course you need to have 55% plus and must be qualified in the Entrance Examinations .
For joining in NDA also you must need a min of 55% plus .

So as of whole it is better to score a good percentage in your 10 so as to have better future in all the fields .

    All the Best !!

It depends on the board in which you study. But almost all boards put 50% a "Safe" cut off, indeed 40% is also applicable in some. Please try to secure high scores.

Re: What percentage is required in 10th class?

Better knowledge Better marks Better Job.
So if you try to score better then chances of better Job is increases.
But here i will clear you now days Most of Institutes and Companies Not checked 10th Marks.
Because as you know now CBSE Student may be give Board 10th Or may not be.
So value of 10th class decreases.
But However in my opinion you have to score high as you can.
But you need to score well in 12th class because all Institutes checked 12th marks,.

Re: What percentage is required in 10th class?

we cant say that the particular percentage must be taken in the 10th standard because it is the basic you must have some good score otherwise in future you will be the suffer.
If you get more then 60 to 65% of minimum is good to get the better future.
But dont try for this percentage. Aim high then only you will get the high score otherwise it is very tough to get the good score in the 10th standarded
If you want good stream in 12th you must have more score then this score.

    Hi friend,

It's start of your carrier , But you must not lose your confidence if you are not able to get 80++ marks in 10th class examination . For successful carrier you should have at least 60% marks in high school.
Because 60% requirement is required by engineering and many exams after 10+2 Examination . Some of the carriers you can choose after 10th class are.......
    • Hotel management
    • Polytechnic
    • Higher studies ..Science stream etc.
    • Railways(rrb exams)

    Good Luck..!!

    Hi friend

I am sorry to say that you have not given details of what you would like to do in future which may affect me giving you an answer suiting you.
If you just want to do class 11 and 12 , a pass is enough as you may get admission in any school.
But that is not what one wants.
You need to study in a good school with a stream of your choice.
Mostly , for science stream schools ask for more marks than the commerce stream.
And your class 10 marks are mostly not asked for in entrance exams for engineering or medicine.
They demand only class 12 marks.
Moreover , for job placements your class 10 marks are considered. They check for your consistent performance.

It is safe to have 60% and you shall have no worries at all if you have 80% and above.
    Always aim higher!!!!!!!!!

Basically 60% percentage of marks are considered as first class . if you want good career after 10th , you should take good marks in major subjects like mathematics , science and social science . So if you try to get 60% percentage of mark . if you get 60% percentage of marks then you can apply for any course as your like . i provide you the course offers after 10th .

Basically 60% percentage of marks considered as 1st class

    LIST OF COURSE AFTER 10TH

in my opinion u have to score a percentage more than 80 % if u want to go further in gud streams in future . like medical stream , non medical stream and commerce ,, to become gud professionalist. its not compulsory to get percentage above 80% bt for an average student that really wanna go for gud streams in future can also go for these streams by scoring 70% or more ....

Re: What percentage is required in 10th class?

Well you didn't tell that after your class 10th which streams you want to choose or what you want to do .But ill still try to help you out .I hope the information will be useful to you .

If you want to get admission in the science streams then in Kendriya vidyalaya school they ask for minimum 60% marks from those students who have done their class 12th from the Kendriya vidyala school only .But if you are in private school and then want to apply then you must have score at least more then 80% marks to get admission in the 11th class in the science streams .In private school the criteria depends on the standard of the school in which you are applying .

For example in the school like DPS you must have got minimum 80% marks in order to get science streams whereas in many private college they give admission to students to science streams even if they have got less then 50% marks .So the percentage criteria varied from school to school .

On the other hands if you want to play safe then you must have got minimum 60% marks in your 10th class .As in for taking admission in the diploma courses you have to apply for the entrance exams and the eligibility criteria for the examination is that you must have passed class 10th with 60% marks .

After completing you degree the many companies requires that you must have got minimum 60% marks in the 10th and 12th class .

In bank clerical exam many banks requires only 60% marks in your class 10th .

So i would recommend you to get at least 60% marks in your 10th class This will provide you more opportunity in future .

    well dear ,
I do not know for what purpose you are asking this but minimum 33% is required to pass.

and for a bright future and a better job you should get atleast 60%.

because most colleges after 12 ask for first division in any profeesional course you wish to go.
