    HI

You have to maintain at least a degree to be eligible for the PO exams. Some private banks in India allow the students who have at least 60% in your academic career and Public banks like IBPS require only pass in degree from any stream !!

So, you don't need to maintain any min.percent in degree if you want to go for IBPS PO Exams. But, you must maintain 60% in your academics to capture PO posts in other banks.

    Eligibility for PO Exams :

You should have a degree(Without backlogs),which is recognized by government of India
    You should be Indian.
Your age must be between 20-30 years for general category
    - For SC/ST it is 5 years relaxation
    - For BC relaxation set as 3 years.

Normally all the banks include the following things in their PO exams :

    Test of Reasoning:
This section consists of verbal and non-verbal questions. It will have questions from
Analogies, visual memory, figure classification, relationship concepts, judgment, similarities, number series, differences etc. It will also focus on student’s abilities to solve abstract ideas, arithmetical computation etc.

    Test of English Language:
In this section candidates knowledge in English would be tested. There will questions based on grammar, sentence correction, opposites, usage, synonyms, comprehension etc

    Test of Numerical Ability:
This area is mainly based on arithmetical problems, fractions, decimals, whole numbers etc. It will not deal with any complicated arithmetical problems.

Test of General Knowledge and General Awareness:
This section aims on your aptitude and accuracy.
You have to mainly deal with questions related to differences and similarities between figures, numbers or names.
It will also cover topics like abbreviations, filing, indexing etc.

    Books to refer :

Actually there are different percentages that you need to obtain in 10th , 12th and graduation in order to apply for banking probational officer examination.
As far as 10th standard and higher secondary is concerned, you need to have at least 60% in the both examinations.
And as far as graduation is concerned, the percentage lies between 50 to 60 percent which is different for various nationalized and private banks of the country.

Age criteria for General category is 21-30 years.

Age relaxation is only for Reservation category students.

SC/ST category has 5 years of relaxation where as OBC has 3 years of relaxation.
