    I want to become ias officer .am syudying 12th(inter second year,group C.E.C arts)suggest me how to prepare and explain me pattern and all about it.

    IAS stands for INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES and this exam is conducted for the selection of candidates for the post of IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS etc.

    The Pattern for the exam is:



    THE STAGE OF SELECTION:

    1)CIVIL SERVICES APTITUDE TEST
    2)MAINS EXAM
    3)PERSONAL INTERVIEW

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE EXAM IS:


    1)You must be an INDIAN Citizen

    2)Your educational qualification must be a graduation in any field from any recognized University.

    3)If you are in the final year of graduation then also you are eligible for the exam.

    4)Your age must be between 21 years to 30 years.

    Relaxation for the Reserved categories
    • FOR SC/ST : 5 years
    • FOR OBC : 3 years
    5)NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:
    • FOR GENERAL CATEGORY: 4 Attempts
    • FOR SC/ST CATEGORY : No limit

    SYLLABUS FOR CSAT IS:

    - Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic geography of India and the World.

    - Indian Polity and Governance Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.

    - Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.

    - General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization

    - General Science.


    PAPER II:

    - Comprehension

    - Interpersonal skills including communication skills

    - Logical reasoning and analytical ability

    - Decision making and problem solving

    - General mental ability

    - Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. -Class X level)

    - English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).

    IAS(Indian Administrative Services):

    IAS is the All India Civil Services which is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).The Major civil services in India are IAS/IPS and these civil services needs tough preparation and study and effort to get secure in the IAS Examination
    There are Certain Eligibility Criteria which must be followed in order to appear for the IAS/IPS Examination.first of all you must be aware of these civil services in order to clear up the examination and to attend the examination.
    The examination is conducted by the UPSC and for appearing to these civil services you must appear for the examination and should registered for the application in the UPSC official site

    dear the IAS officer has more power to rule and to implement policy ,becoming IAS officer is really a great task .you have to do lot of hard work and you have to keep lot of potential to have IAS with you.the IAS officers are recruited by the union government by the recommendation from union public service commission,
    pattern of IAS EXAM,
    the IAS exam will be consists of
    • prelims,

    • and finally interview stage ,

    you can have graduate in any discipline from a university recognized by the university grants commission (UGC).
    if you are in the final year of your graduation than you can fill the main exam form.

    if you are belong to OBC category than you can have 21 to 33 years of age.

    Dear friend,
    My friend if you want to become a IAS then you have to appear for CSAT exam conducted by UPSC every year.

    CSAT stands for Civil Services Aptitude Test. if you can successfully pass the Civil Services (Mains) Exam and the subsequent Interview, will be appointed for the prestigious IAS (Indian Administrative Service), IPS (Indian Police Service), IFS (Indian Foreign Service), IRS (Indian Revenue Service) .




    Pattern of CSAT exam:

    The CSAT has two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each and of two hours duration each. All questions are of objective type. The marks scored in the CSAT are used for determining qualified candidates for the Civil Services (Mains) Exam only. The CSAT score (marks) will not be carries to the next stage (Civil Services Mains Exam)

    And last round will be interview,it is not an elimination round.

    The Notificaion for CSAT will be carried my all major newspapers of India on February 4, 2012.

    Last date to apply is March 5, 2012

    About 3,00,000 people are expected to take the test and about 11,000 people will be qualified for the Civil Services (Mains) Exam.

    Eligibility for CSAT exam:

    1.You must complete your Graduation Degree.

    2.your graduation degree can be in any stream.


    3.You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.

    The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:
    upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.
    upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes(BC's)

    Number of attempts:

    General candidates: four attempts.
    Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction.
    Other Backward Classes: seven attempts
