First 6 to 12 months B.E holders have to work as graduate engineer trainees. And later on we have the options such as being an engineer in areas like Microwave, Networking, Switching etc. Posts of Junior Telecom Officer (JTOs) and Technical Telecom Assistants (TTAS) is offered by MTNL and BSNL. There are a lot more opportunities in India's research and development sector such as ISRO. Since telecom is a fast developing field, in future it will have a vast number of opportunities for graduates.
