HI FRIENDS.
OOPS STANDS FOR OBJECT ORIENTED PROGRAMMING AND STRUCTURED LANGUANGE.
IT IS DIFFERENT FROM C.
IT USES A DIFFERENT SET OF PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE.
IN OOPS EVERYTHING IS GROUPED AS SELF SUSTAINABLE OBJECT.
THANK YOU.

Re: What is Object oriented programming and structured programming?

the difference between structured programming and object oriented programming :
Structured Programming Language
1) Follow top-down approach to program design.
2) Data and Functions donít tide with each other.
3) Large programs are divided into smaller self contained program segment known as functions.
4) Data moves openly around the system from function to function.
5) Functions are dependent so reusability is not possible

Object Oriented Programming Language
1) Follow bottom-up approach in program design.
2) Functions and data are tide together.
3) Programs are divided into entity called Objects.
4) Data is hidden and canít be accessed by the external world
5) Functions are not dependent so reusability is possible

Object Oriented Programming is more powerful than Structured Programming, as we can see above, we can re-use the code, Data is safe as it is hidden etc. in Object Oriented Programming.

Re: What is Object oriented programming and structured programming?

Hello Friend..........

Programming is the general representation of the Logical functions and there are mainly two types of Programming methodologies are present mainly and the programming methodologies available are
*Object Based Programming
*Structured programming
These are the two types of programming methodologies which are available and there are a wide difference between the Object Based Programming and the Structured programming.

Object Based Programming-
Before knowing about the Object oriented programming first of all know about the Object.An Object is nothing but the The thing which exists in the real world.and the Object is also known as the Instance of the Class.
Generally the class is the blue print or the templates which are containing different methods and objects which are included in the class and the object is the instance of the class and these objects represents the class and there are several important concepts in the Object Oriented programming which makes the OOP's more comfortable and more preferred one are.
>>Data Abstraction
>>Encapsulation
>>Polymorphism
>>Inheritance
>>Modularity
These are some of the important aspects which makes the OOP's concepts more preferred and more compatible..........
*The Data Abstraction is the hiding the internal features and representing only the out side models or the external features are known as the Data Abstraction
*Encapsulation is the data hiding and it hides the features of the Internal things
*Polymorphism is the one in many forms .........
*Inheritance is the extending the features of one class in to another class by inheriting the features of the parent class in to the child class which inherits it........
*Modularity is the one of the best feature that is it divides the task in to sub tasks and solves it and combines the task in to a big task and this kind of solving the task is very relevant.........

Structured Programming-
Structured Programming is one of the main fashion of the Programming and it became the oldest model when the OOP's came in to exsistance.Structured programming deals with the organizing the Program in the Logical Behaviour......
This is one of the most common methodologies of the programming and it mainly contains the sequence,selection and repetion of elements.
some of the structured programming methodologies are....
ALGOL,PASCAL,ADA,etc..............
These are the major differences between the OOP's and the Structured programming..........

Re: What is Object oriented programming and structured programming?

My dear friend OOP i.e Object Oriented Programming uses the concept of Objects, Classes, Polymorphism, Inheritance etc.

It is much advanced concept of Programming then the Old Procedural Approach.

In OOP everything is Grouped as Objects.
These objects are used within various different Classes.

OOP consists of 4 main concepts.

These are listed as below:

--> Object

--> Class

--> Encapsulation

--> Association

An object is an instance of a class. It can be considered as a thing and can perform various activities.
Its activities define its Behavior.

Class is the representation of the type of the object used. It describes the details of the objects.
Class can have various Instances.
A class us comprised of the following:

--> Class Name

--> Class Attributes

--> Class Operation

Encapsulation can be achieved by creating Classes.
Class acts as a container. Encapsulation allows class to change its internal attributes without changing the overall behavior of the class.

Association shows the relationship between two classes.

Hope the Information will be helpful.

Regards

hello friend....

Traditionally....the structured programming techniques were used...there are many problems because of the use of the structured programming technique.

Structured Programming is one oldest model when the oops came in to exsistance .it deals with the organizing the Program in the Logical Behaviour and contains the

-Sequence

-Selection

-Repetion of elements.

structured programming areas like:-

-ALGOL

-PASCAL

-ADA

The structured programming made use of the the top-down approach to overcome the problems faced by using the Structured programming the object oriented programming is used

-->The object oriented programming makes use of the button-up approach it also manages the increasing complexity.

The description of the object oriented programming can be given as :-

*A Data that can control the access of the code

*The object oriented programming techniques build the program using the objects along with the set of well defined interfaces to that object

*The object oriented programming is a paradigm ,as it describes the way in which the elements within the computer must be organized....

Concepts of Object oriented programming:-

-Everything is an object

-Each and every object manage their own memories that store own objects

A class store within it ,the behaviour of an object

-Data Abstraction

-Encapsulation

-Polymorphism

-Inheritance

-Modularity

all the best...!!

object oriented and structured programming are different
main differences are-----
object oriented | structured prog
1.it defines problems into functions | it defines problems in entities called objects
2.it follows bottom-up approach | it follows top-cottom approach
3. in this we can make data private,public | in this data is global
or protected
4. eg-- c++ | c

Re: What is Object oriented programming and structured programming?

Hello........

1) The main difference between both is that in structure programming the flow of program execution is based on the structure of the program written...
but in oop (Object oriented programming) the program basic entity is object.. object is created , which help in execution of the program....

2. In Structured Language, there is more dependency between the variables and the program like a chain...

Where as OOPs it is even though dependent, still it's modular.

3. Structured Language is commandline friendly,
OOP is user(Developer) friendly.

4. Structured programming is about the code itself,
while Object programming is about relation between the data and the code operating on the data

For more details refer to book of y.kanetkar or C++

Hi,

Structured programming is basically called as C programming.

Object oriented programming is basically called as C++ programming.

C++ is the advance course of C.

Structured Programming Language :

1) Follow top-down approach to program design.
2) Data and Functions donít tide with each other.
3) Large programs are divided into smaller self contained program segment known as functions.
4) Data moves openly around the system from function to function.
5) Functions are dependent so reusability is not possible.

Object Oriented Programming Language:

1) Follow bottom-up approach in program design.
2) Functions and data are tide together.
3) Programs are divided into entity called Objects.
4) Data is hidden and canít be accessed by the external world.

Re: What is Object oriented programming and structured programming?

Friend,

Structural Programming: -

The structured programming approach to program design was based on the following method:

To solve a large problem, break the problem into several pieces and work on each piece separately.
To solve each piece, treat it as a new problem that can itself be broken down into smaller problems.
repeat the process with each new piece until each can be solved directly, without further decomposition.

I add pdf file for full details of Object oriented programming and structured programming.

good luck...........

Hello friend,

oops concept comes in the C++.

It basically the Higher version of the C, having the concepts of the C like the Object module.

It uses class,inheritance and little bit diffrent coding structure.

Some of the good books are yashwant kanitkar and NIIT.

Re: What is Object oriented programming and structured programming?

object oriented programming is an approach to devolop a software in which we focus on objects and their attributes and responsibilities....it is a direct method of mapping business problems to program code ....
while
structured programing is a subset of procedural programming..that enforces a logical structure on the program making it more efficient and easier to understand..
