    Hi

MNC's are the Multi National Companies which work and function both in India, and abroad. So these are the top companies which recruit the best professionals from our country.

Now the Basic Requirement which the MNC's ask for is :

You should be a minimum graduate from a recognized university with a minimum 60% aggregate if you are from any technical line like Medical or Engineering.

    Otherwise 50% is the requirement.

If you have even lower percentage, I am really sorry to say that you will have to face tough times ahead.

You can try for the IAS, IPS, Civil Service exams. There is you do well in the entrance exams, then you might get a good job.

Or try doing MBA from a reputated college. It would definitely help you get a job in MNC's.

Re: What is the minimum required percentage to get placed in a MNC? Will my low percentage be a problem to get job in a Multi National Company?

There is no such minimum required percentage which should be obtained by a candidate in order to be placed with a Multi national company.
Even if you have a low percentage but have all the other required qualities then there are bright chances of getting a good job in a MNC.
The various qualities that should be in the candidate can be mentioned as follows:
    1)Good communication skills-
You should have brilliant communication skills as this is required by each and every big company in this modern scenario.
You can improve these skills by reading, writing and by many other activities.Good communication ensures that all
the functions are going smoothly in the organisation.

    2)Analytical skills-
You should have sharp analytical skills as this is required by each and every company. You can develop these skills by practicing to solve
case studies, or mathematical and analytical problems, etc. There are many companies that take a written test for the purpose of checking
    analytical skills of that individual.

    3)Basics should be clear-
You should have a hold on all the basics and concepts as they are asked in each and every interview and they want to test your clarity
regarding the concepts. They would ask you a number of questions relating to the basic concepts of that particular stream.

Thumbs up Re: What is the minimum required percentage to get placed in a MNC? Will my low percentage be a problem to get job in a Multi National Company?

    Hi,
This is Shilpi Jain , your answer is-

" According to your question if the person having the good communication skill, convincing power and ability to satisfy to all on this situation percentage does not matter but atleast you have to secure more than 55%... degree, good marks , good percentage as well as dynamic personality make the impression on interviewer. these are helps to increase the chances of selection and recruitment.

MNC knows very well that all students learn the notes , and book's matter but at the time of interview who perform well on all parameters only they can get the chance to enter MNC environment.
Mostly MNC seek that confidence , check stability , ability to take challenge, working under pressure
if the person having these they are suitable to do the work with MNC.

The main parameters the person should having--

    1) Good subjective knowledge
    2) good IQ level
    3) better communication
    4) coordination and coorperation

MAIN thing is that the format of your resume should be pure profession or technical as per required.
Marks and Percentage automatically will not matter.

    Thanks
    shilpi jain

Re: What is the minimum required percentage to get placed in a MNC? Will my low percentage be a problem to get job in a Multi National Company?

You should have mentioned the course that you pursued and and the percentage that
you have scored. I suppose that you have pursued engineering course and are looking for
a job in Multi national company. Also the low percentage is not mentioned. I personally
think 50-60 % is a low percentage in engineering.I don't know whether you lie in this range
    or even below this.

If you have scored below that then you are going to get hard time finding jobs in a MNC.
However mostly the percentage criterion is set by Public sector companies like ONGC,
NTPL, SAIL, BHEL, Power grid , BPCL etc for recruiting engineers. They are typically
asking for a minimum percentage of 65% to sit in the entrance exam conducted by them.

On the other hand private companies like Jaypee cement, Reliance, Jindal steel etc are
also asking for a minimum percentage like 60 or 65% from candidates to be eligible to
sit in their entrance examination. The companies ensure by doing this that atleast medicore
to bright level of students will be selected by them.

I also support this. Because if you are pursuing a high professional degree like engineering
then you must be serious enough to secure atleast 60% aggregate and if you are not then may
be engineering is not your cup of tea.I may sound a bit rude, but thats the way the companies
think.May be your decision to enroll for a engineering course was wrong. And you are not alone
my friend , many students in India make this wrong selection after compleating their schooling.
May be if they go for commerce , they could have made good comapny secretaries or Charted accountants.

However you don't have a time machine and can't go back to correct your mistake, now you
have to move ahead with what you have.First of all you need to now realsize which field
will be best for you. You have studied so many subjects in your four years of course.
Think what subjects intrested you and look for a job in that field. You can start with a
small company where you can be given consideration for your communication skills and managerial skills.

There are many engineering companies that require engineers in purchase, production etc. where
skills other then technical skills play a major role. You can start with such organisations.
At the same time you need to enhance your technical knowledge. After getting some experience
you can look for job in some big organisation.

And believe me those students who score anywhere between 60-70% are not smarter then you.It was
because during their course they were serious enough to work hard and score well. So it's the hard
work that counts. And it's never too late to start working hard. And you can start now.

    Best of luck......
