If you have more than 60% then you are eligible for almost all govt.bank PO exams. If you have 65% or more in your degree then you will be eligible for private banks like ICICI, AXIS etc.

SO, I would say if you have a min. of 65% you will be eligible for all bank po jobs!!

    Here are the details:

    Exam pattern:

There will be negative Marking (0.25 of the marks) for wrong answer marked by you in the bank objective tests. There are five alternatives in every question of a test.

    Reasoning:

This section consists of verbal and non-verbal questions. It will have questions from Analogies, visual memory, figure classification, relationship concepts, judgment, similarities, number series, differences etc. It will also focus on the abilities to solve abstract ideas, arithmetical computation etc.

    English Language:

There will be questions based on grammar, sentence correction, opposites, usage, synonyms, comprehension etc

    Numerical Ability:

This area is mainly based on arithmetical problems, fractions, decimals, whole numbers etc. It will not deal with any complicated arithmetical problems.

    General Knowledge and General Awareness:

This section aims on your aptitude and accuracy. You have to mainly deal with questions related to differences and similarities between figures, numbers or names. It will also cover topics like abbreviations, filing, indexing etc.

    Eligibility:

As I said before its better to have 65% or more in degree

    Age limits:
Your age must be between 20-30 years for general category
    - For SC/ST it is 5 years relaxation
    - For BC relaxation set as 3 years.
    - For the PH candidates 10 years and ex-service-men 5years.
