Re: What is the minimum percentage required in 12th to become a CA?

There is no such percentage requirement to be fulfilled in order to pursue CA(Chartered Accountancy) after completing higher secondary.CA is a course which can be pursued directly after competing 12th standard. But the institute that conducts this exam has not specified any percentage which is necessary to score to appear or this examination.

So, you do not need to worry at all, whatever you have scored in 12th standard, you are eligible to appear for CA exam. The procedure to become a chartered accountant can be summarised as follows:
1)Firstly you have to appear for an entrance exam which is called CPT(Common Proficiency Test).
2)If you qualified the entrance exam , then you have to get registered for the intermediate level that is IPCC(Integrated Professional Competence Course). I f you qualified this exam then you would be eligible for the next level of exam
3)Third phase is the final level that is CA final exam. But before that you have to complete three years of article ship under any individual or any firm of CA's. After qualifying third level, you would become a chartered accountant.

    SC/ST-45%

But you finished your graduation you should directly go for intermediate course . But the candidate should take 55% for commerce and 60% percentage of other stream candidates . there is no age limit of the ca course . The candidate should face three exam such as foundation course , intermediate course , final course . you can apply for the ca exam after your 12th .

If you have done 12th from commerce side then you have good scope to become a CA. The minimum percentage required is 60%; there should not be any backlog in your 12th class. To get admission in CA you have to pass the entrance exam like CPT.

To get into the CA field you should just pass in the 12th standard. There is no something like minimum percentage. The course of CA is divided into 3 stages they are
    1)CPT
    2)IPCC
    3)Final
Firstly to get into the field of CA you should write the CPT exam which is the first basic exam. After that you will wnter into the second stage called IPCC. The the last stage CA FINAL. This is the structure of the CA course.

The minimum percentage required in12th for C.A is only pass in this class. Every 12th class pass student is eligible for becoming ca. The minimum percentages and subject of 12th class doesn't matter to become a ca.

    >> Foundation program - You must have to clear it in 3 attempts.
    >> Executive program

    • To appear for CPT you need to have completed your 12th.
    • There is NO-AGE Criteria also.
    • After Clearing CPT you will be eligible to apply for IPCC.
    • If your a Graduate from Recognized university with minimum of 60% then you can apply directly for IPCC with out CPT.
