The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) is proposed to allow 10+2 students to appear in a single entrance examination to get admission to almost all medical colleges in the country, including private medical colleges, from 2012 academic year except the Armed Forces Medical College(AFMC),pune and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) , New Delhi and the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh.

Eligibility Criteria For NEET Examination :

The student musthave pass 12th class examination securing minimum of 50% for General category & 40% for Reserved category .
The Student should Complete 17th year on or before 1st jan of 2012 and must be with in 25 years on/before 31st December of the year of the entrance examination
The Student belong to SC/ST/OBC get 5 year relaxation on age.

Minimum 19 Years and maximum 28 years are only eligible to write the NEET

NET stands for National Eligibility Test .



NET is the National level entrance examination in India conducted for only postgraduate candidates .
This examination is conducted for the students to qualify for admission in Ph.D research and/or University Level Teaching Jobs in India.

The Eligibility Criteria for NET Examinations 2011 is :

You must have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree .
If you are in Graduate Final yr then also you are eligible for appearing for this examination .
Your age must be in the age of 20-28 yrs only applicable for this examination .

So if you satisfy these criteria mentioned above then you are positively eligible for the NET Examination .

The Exam is commenced on Dec 24th 2011 .
The last date for Applications was already ended on 25th Oct 2011.

About National Eligibility Test For Medical :

The medical council of india is conducting national eligibility entrance test for admission in to undergraduate degree of medical courses from 2013 year.

For admission in this course through this entrance test,required educational qualifications are you must completed the 10+2 examination with minimum 50% of marks for general category and 40% of marks for reserved category candidates as per govt rules from recognized board.

Also in your 10+2 class you must study the biology, chemistry and physics compulsory subject from a recognized board of education.

And also remember in your 10+2 class you must have secured above 70% of marks in biology and required minimum age limit to apply is 18 and maximum limit is 28 years as per govt rules.

Selection Processor :

For admission in medical colleges,the selection processor is based on the marks at NEET all india entrance exam.

So,for this exam the question paper will have 180 questions with 45 questions each from Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry subjects completed within 3 hours.

Need for National Eligibility Entrance Examination:

MCI is planning to introduce NEET examination that is common entrance examination at all India level is for admission in to MBBS course and there is no entrance exam for admission in to MBBS course in india except NEET.

NEET will be the common entrance exam for MBBS for 2013.

Exam Date

The tentative exam date for NEET is 5th May 2013.

Eligibility criteria for NEET-

12th class with minimum of 50% in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized board before admission.

Minimum age is 17 years.

Exam Pattern -

There are three papers of total 250 questions-

1. Physics - 75 questions

2. Chemistry - 75 questions

3. Biology - 100 questions

MCI and dental council take NEET for admission to MBBS and BDS.
