    for general category students age must be in between 20 years to 30 years

    IBPS conducts CWE for Clerk , PO and MT post.
    19 public sector banks participate in with IBPS for conducting this examination.

    Eligibility for CWE:
    Class 10th passed with 60%.
    Class 12th with 50% and graduation with 50% from a recognized board and university.

    Age limit:
    for clerical cadre :
    18 years to 28 years
    and for PO and MT :
    21 years to 30 years.
    The above mentioned age is for general category candidates.
    For obc 3 years age relaxation.
    For sc\st 5 year age relaxation.

    Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts the examinations for the selection of the candidates in to the banking sectors and the candidates who wish to appear for the IBPS selection must also follow some of the qualifications which are necessary for appearing to the IBPS selections there are totally 19 public sector banks which are participating in the recruitment criteria of the IBPS selections.

    The IBPS conducts the recruitment for the Po's,clerks,special officer recruitments.The IBPS conducts the written examinations for the candidates for the selections and depending up on the written examination and the score you secured you will be called for the interview.

    The IBPS participating banks are.........
    *Allahabad Bank
    *Andhra Bank
    *Indian Bank
    *Indian Overseas Bank
    *Bank of India
    *Bank of Maharashtra
    *Canara Bank
    *Central Bank of India
    *Corporation Bank

    *Clerical Cadre Qualifications-

    hi friend the age limit for general catagory students in IBPS examination is
    18 - 28 years for clerical candidates.

    IBPS conducts Common Written Examination (CWE) for selection of Clerical Cadre vacancies in the 20 Public Sector Banks. It is a great opportunity for candidate’s career in 20 Public Sector Banks through a Single Common Written Examination.The Common Written Examination (CWE) for Clerical Cadre posts will be conducted once in a year by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. Common Written Examination for recruitment of Clerks has been accepted by each of the 20 participating Public Sector Banks and the Managing Committee of the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) with the consent of the Government of India.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    Nationality/Citizenship: A Citizen of India.

    Age Limit for IBPS:

    for Clerk:

    Your age limit should be between 18 to 28 years.

    The age relaxation applicable for other categories.

    Bank PO:

    Your age limit should be between 21 to 30 years.

    Upper age relaxation is applicable.

    I.B.P.S --- INSTITUTE OF BANKING AND PERSONAL SELECTION ..

    For this you must write the below exam CWE

    C.W.E --- COMMON WRITTEN EXAMINATION ...

    You must have a Graduation from any Recognized university

    And the Minimum age should be 21 years

    The maximum age is allowed up to 30 years only

    As you belong to GENERAL CATEGORY the maximum age limit is 30 years ...

    general : age between 21 - 30 years
    for OBC : 33 years
    for SC : 35 years.

    for IBPS clerk :
    general : 21 - 28 years

    The maximum age limit specified is applicable to General Category candidates.

    Relaxation of Upper Age limit

    - Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: 5 years

    - Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years

    - Persons With Disabilities: 10 years

    - Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers including\Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/ Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within 5 years the stipulated time) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or physical disability attributable to military service or invalidment: 5 years

    - Persons ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989: 5 years

    - Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years

    - Persons who have completed 5 years of service in RRBs: 5 years

    Examination pattern for CWE PO conducted by IBPS

    Here is the pattern of CWE IBPS PO exam:

    1. Reasoning: 50 questions of 50 marks

    2. English Language: 50 questions of 25 marks

    3. Quantitative Aptitude: 50 questions of 50 marks

    4. General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry): 50 questions of 50 marks

    5. Computer Knowledge: 50 questions of 50 marks

    6 Descriptive Paper on English Composition (Essay, Précis, Letter writing, etc.): 25 marks

    Total: 250 marks (Duration: 3 hours, 30 minutes)

    - The tests 1 to 5 are of objective type multiple choice questions

    - All tests other than the Test of English Language and Descriptive Paper on English Composition are printed in both English and Hindi.

    - The Descriptive Papers of only those candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the objective tests are evaluated.

    - There is a penalty for wrong answers in multiple choice questions. One-fourth marks of a question are deducted in case of a wrong answer. Marking more than one answer is considered a wrong answer. There is no penalty for not answering a question.

    IBPS - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.

    IBPS conducts Bank Clerk and Bank PO exam twice a year.

    Age criteria for IBPS exam -

    For general candidate - 20 -30 years

    For OBC candidate - 20 -33 years

    For SC/ST candidate - 20 - 35 years


    Qualification should be Graduation in any stream from a recognised university.

    The maximum age limit for CWE (Common Written Examination) in IBPS is 30 Years
    As you are from General Category the age limit is 30 years for PO Exam and 28 years is the maximum age limit for clerical examination
