    Hi

IAS is the Indian Administrative Services and it is one of the most reputated and hence toughest entrance exams to crack in our country.

The Basic Eligibility Criteria to apply for the IAS is :

    1. You should be a minimum graduate in any stream from a recognized university/college with a minimum 50% aggregate in it.

    2. Your age should be between 21-30 years, if you are a GEN candidate. Though relaxations of 3-5 years are given in the upper age limit for the OBC/SC/ST candidates.

    3. Only 4 attempts are granted to the GEN candidates, 7 attempts are granted to the OBC and unlimited number of attempts are granted to the SC/ST candidates.

==> Now coming to your question, I would like to say that you may take up any stream after 12th. Because there is no limitation for any stream to apply in the IAS. Any streamed candidate can apply.

==> If you want to keep it easy, I would suggest you take up Arts side, as it would contain easier subjects than science and commerce.

    All the best.
