After completion of your polytechnic you have two options.One is after diploma you can go for higher studies like B.Tech/B.E.

For B.Tech/B.E

After diploma you can go for B.tech through LATERAL schema.You have to write the entrance exam for this course.After cracking the exam you are eligible for B.Tech.You can directly enter into the B.Tech second year.
Many colleges offers the LATERAL schema.So you can go for that.

My neighbor's son had obtained Distinction in B.Tech but is unemployed. Hence I suggest you take B.E or B.Tech. Simultaneously you can do short duration certificate courses. 59% is less percentage in diploma.so it's not so nice.but now you have to improve your knowledge of your field.
If you have good knowledge in your field,then you can get job in some good company.Starting salary will less,but as time pass and your experience,your salary will be increased.
You can do B.E is the best for you.now you have to pay attention in your study and get good percentage in the B.E.then you have to not face difficulty due to lower percentage.If you have good knowledge,then you have a bright future and having good scope.
