    Aspirant Candidates must crack the Civil Examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission

    Eligibility Criteria for Civil Examination

    Educational Qualification

    Candidate must have a bachelor of degree in any stream from any recognized university

    Age Limit

    Candidates age should between 21 to 30 years, age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates



    Nationality

    Candidates should be a citizen of India

    Number of Attempts

    Maximum 4 attempts for General candidates,

    7 attempts for OBC Candidates,

    no restriction for SC/ST Candidates

    Selection Procedure

    1. Preliminary Examination

    2. Mains Examination

    3. Interview.......etc...

    IAS is the Indian Administrative Services which are offered by the Union Public Services Commission in India and these are known as the Civil Services which are offered all India wide and getting in to these civil services is not an easy task and you need to clear the examinations or the selection procedures which will be conducted one year long and the candidates who wish to get in to these civil services must qualify the examinations or the selection procedures which are conducted.

    These Civil Services are offered in the all Over the India selections for getting in to these civil services you need to qualify these selection procedures in order to get in to these civil services and these selections comes under the competitive examinations which is applied after completing the bachelor degree course of study or the under graduate degree course of study in any of the discipline........

    These Civil services which are available are the.......
    *Indian Administrative Services
    *Indian Police Services
    These are the two different civil services which are offered by the UPSC and these civil services will be offered all over the India....
    Getting in to these civil services is you need to satisfy some of the qualifications which are necessary for appearing to these civil services at first you need to follow these qualifications and some of the qualifications which are necessary for appearing to these civil services are.........

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services.
    To become an IAs officer you need to clear
    UPSC Civil Services Examination.
    You can sit for the exam provided you
    follow the eligibility norms:
    ** You must have completed your
    graduation in any stream.
    ** Final year candidates may also apply.
    ** Your age should be between 21 to 30
    years.
    There is age relaxation given for reserved
    categories.
    SC/ST- 5 yrs
    OBC- 3 yrs
    PH- 10 yrs
    Number of attempts:
    4 in case of general
    7 in case of OBC &
    unlimited in case of SC/ST till they attain the
    age of 35 years.
    There are 3 stages of examination:
    Preliminary
    Mains
    Interview
    According to latest pattern Preliminary exam
    is known as CSAT.
    You have 2 papers in this:
    General awareness
    Aptitude test
    If you fulfill these requirements you can fil

    IAS means Indian Administrative service .if you complete any one of degree with above 50% .your eligible to write IAS exams .IAS is not a single step examination .it has a three stages .in stage prelims .if u passed in prelims u will be qualify for mains examinations .who passd in mains they will be selected for final stage interview.for mains exmas u have to study minimum of 3 to 4 hours daily and maximum is as your strength

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service Exam .
    It is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) every year.


    IAS Exam has three stages Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and an Interview

    IAS Preliminary Exam Pattern:

    The prelims are held around May-June.

    It has multiple choice questions.

    There are two papers (duration of each being 2 hrs).
    a) General studies and
    b)Optional subject: you can choose from Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, Agriculture, Maths, Phy, Chem, Stats etc.


    The main written examination usually takes place in Oct-Nov, it comprises of 9 papers in all Duration of each paper is 3 hrs.

    Language: one of the Indian languages, English, Essay GK and Current Affairs: 2 papers on general studies

    Optionals: papers from two subjects that fall in optional-1 and two papers from optional-2

    English Qualifying:- The pattern of questions would be broadly as follows :-

    (i) Comprehension of given passages.
    (ii) Precis Writing
    (iii) Usage and Vocabulary
    (iv) Short Essay

    Indian Language:-

    (i) Comprehension of given passages.
    (ii) Precis Writing
    (iii) Usage and Vocabulary.
    (iv) Short Essay
    (v) Translation from English to the Indian language and vice-versa.

    Details about become a IAS Officer :

    Civil Services Examination is the most prestigious examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various All India Services including I.A.S., I.P.S., I.F.S.,I.R.S., and various Group A Services and Group B Services.

    Normally applications are invited by UPSC notifications in leading News Papers during December every year.

    The Civil Services Examination consists of three stages :

    1. Civil Services Preliminary Examination ( Objective Type) (Usually conducted in May)
    2. Civil Services Main Examination (Written) (Conducted during October/November)
    3. Interview and final Selection (During April/May)




    1. Minimum Educational Qualification :

    Degree of any recognized university. However candidates studying in final year examination may apply for Preliminary. When he applies for Main Examination, he shall be a Graduate. But the following Engineering discipline are eligible :-

    * Civil Engineering,
    * Mechanical Engineering,
    * Bio Technology,
    * Electrical Engineering,
    * Physics
    * Chemistry
    * Statics
    * Geology etc.


    For this you have to prepare right now.Here I have also mentioned about the age limit and number of attempts of the examination.

    2. Age Limit :

    * Minimum Age :- 21 as on 1st August during which they will write Exam.

    * Maximum Age: 30 for GEN, 33 for OBC and 35 for SC.

    3. Number of attempts :

    * General Candidates -> 4

    * OBC -> 7

    * SC/ST -> No Limit
