    NET stands for NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST and this is for becoming a lecturer in colleges.

    SET stands for STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST and this is becoming a lecturer in STATE Colleges.

    TET stands for TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST and this is for becoming a Teacher in primary and secondary schools.

    THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA IS:

    1)You must have completed Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from university recognized by UGC.

    2)If you are in the final year of the Master's Degree then also you are eligible for the exam.

    3)IF you have done P.HD then also you are eligible.

    4)You must have secured the minimum of 55% marks in Master's degree and A 5% relaxation in marks in given to the Reserved category candidates.

    5)AGE CRITERIA:

    5.1 For Junior Research Fellowship: You should not be more than 28 years as on 01.12.2011. 5 years of relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH categories candidates and to women applicants.

    5.2 Lectureship: There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship eligibility.

    FOR TET THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA IS:

    1)For Class I to V (Primary)

    You must be a Graduate and NCTE approved two years course in BTC/CT (Nur)/ NTT

    or

    You must be a Graduate and NCTE approved BTC training from UP

    or

    You must be a Graduate with 50 % marks and B Ed or NCTE approved B Ed/ D Ed (special Education)/ B Ed (special Education) and graducation with 45 % marks is also eligible to be appointed as teacher in primary classes. In this case the candidate have to pass an NCTE approved six months course in Primary education before January 2012.

    Or

    You must be a Graduate with Moallim – e – Urdu completed before 11-8-97 (for Urdu Teachers)

    Or

    You must be a Graduate and Diploma in Teaching from the Aligarh Muslim University (for Urdu Teachers)

    2)For Class VI to VIII (Elementary)

    You must be a Graduate and NCTE approved two years course in BTC/CT (Nur)/ NTT

    or

    You must be a Graduate and NCTE approved BTC training from UP

    or

    You must be a Graduate with minimum 50 percent marks and one-year B. Ed

    or

    You must be a Graduate with minimum 45 percent marks and one-year B. Ed as per NCTE guidelines.

    Dear friend,

    After M.SC(chemistry) , you are eligible for NET exam but your degree must be from UGC approved university.

    Those candidate have completd masters degree from recogniged university are eligible for NET exam.

    For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55%above in masters degree. SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.

    Part time course are not eligible for NET exam.

    For Junior research fellowship course your age must be in between 19 to 28 years.

    For lectureship ,There is no upper age limit but the Minimum age is 19 years.

    NET exam is conduct because of govt college lecturer and PHD entrance.

    EXAM DETAILS OF NET EXAM:-


    The NET exam date is18-12-2011 But still UGC have not published application brochure .

    The application details will be published in 26th September,2011.So you have to prepare well for NET exam.

    There are one declaration is announced UGC . No negative Marking in Paper-I and Paper -II exam.

    Online form will available after 26th September.

    Date of Close of Online Submission: 13-09-2011

    Last Date of Receipt of Duly Completed Hard Copy of Online Application Forms: 16-09-2011

    NET stands for National Eligiblity test
    SET stands for State Eligiblity test

    TO apply for Both these examination, you have to complete your Post graduate degree course from a recognised University with Minimum 55% marks.

    If you have Completed your MSc or equivalent degree, with minimum 55% marks from a recognised Board, then you are eligible to apply for CSIR NET Examination.

    The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years, Upper age relaxation upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes.

    CSIR-UGC NET Exam for Science stream is conducted by CSIR in the following Disciplines :

    >> Chemical Sciences
    >> Earth Sciences
    >> Life Sciences
    >> Mathematical Sciences
    >> Physical Sciences

    So, Please dont worry If you have completed your Post graduate degree course with Minimum 55% marks, then you are eligible to apply for NET Examination and if you need more Information then please check official website :

    NET-NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST

    ==>UGC conducts NET twice a year, i.e., in the months of June and December.

    ==> The notifications announcing the June and December examinations are published in the months of March and September respectively in the weekly journal of nation-wide circulation, viz, Employment News.

    Eligibility conditions

    If you belonging to the General/Other Backward Classes (OBC) who have secured at least 55% marks (without grace or rounding off in Master's Degree (or equivalent) examination in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Sciences etc.

    Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and Physically Handicapped (PH)/ Visually Handicapped (VH) candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without grace or rounding off) in Master's degree (or equivalent) examination are eligible to appear in the NET examination.

    If you have even secured 54.99% marks or below (even 49.99% marks or below for SC/ST & PH/VH candidates) in Master's Degree or equivalent Examination are NOT eligible for this Test. THERE IS NO PROVISION OF ROUNDING OFF OF MARKS TO MAKE IT 55% (50% FOR SC/ST and PH/VH).

    You have appear in the subject of their Post Graduation. However, the candidates whose Post Graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects may appear in the subject related to their Post Graduation subject.


    Age Limit and relaxation

    There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing only for eligibility for lectureship

    Applicants for Junior Research Fellowship should not be more than 28 years of age as on the first day of the month in which the NET Examination is to be held

    Age relaxation for JRF: Age relaxation up to 5 years is available to SC/ST/OBC/ Physically Handicapped (PH) / Visually Handicapped (VH) / Women candidates. Relaxation, up to a maximum of 5 years.


    SET- Maharashtra State Eligibility Test for Lectureship (SET)

    Eligibility Criteria

    a) The candidates must have Master's Degree from an institution recognized by U.G.C.

    b) The candidates other than SC/ST category who have secured atleast 55% marks (without grace) in Master's Degree or equivalent examination, are eligible for this test. SC/ST/PH/VH (PH-Physically Handicapped. VH-Visually Handicapped i.e. Blind) category candidates who have secured atleast 50% marks(without grace) in Master's Degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this test.

    c) Those candidates who have secured even 54.99% marks or below (even 49.99% Marks or below for SC/ST/PH/VH candidates) in Master's Degree examination are NOT eligible for this test.

    d)you have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying master's degree examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test.

    e) If you are studying in the first year of two years course or in first two semesters of a four semesters course of Master's Degree cannot appear for this test.

    f) M.C.M. students are not allowed to appear for SET Examination.

    g) If you have have completed Ph.D. and had passed Master's Degree prior to 19th September, 1991 with at least 50% marks (without grace marks as explained above) are also eligible to appear for SET examination.

    h)Candidates have to appear for SET in the subject of their Post Graduation only.

    j) There is no upper age limit.

    TET - Teacher Eligibility Test


    ==>Now all new teacher in Assam will be appointed in govt. and private schools after pass t (TET) exam.

    ==> All candidates have to take TET exam before joining of teacher.

    ==> Only pass candidates in TET exam would be eligible for teacher in govt. and private school.

    ==>This is compulsory for private school also. If any private school appoint any teacher without TET pass then school’s affiliations from any board will be canceled.

    ==>The old teachers of Govt. and private school do not need to pass TET exam for continue their job. They will be considered as TET pass candidate if they change their school.

    Basic qualification to become a teacher in Assam.

    Then please go through these criteria details :

    NET CRITERIA DETAILS :

    The basic eligibility for appearing in UGC-NET exam is a Master degree or equivalent in
    related subjects. The candidate must have a minimum of 55% (54.99% is not eligible) in this.
    The candidates appearing or have appeared for final year exams are also eligible.
    For appearing students they must produce their degree certificate within one year
    from the date of this test, otherwise they will be disqualified. The candidates who
    have pursued the degree as specified by UGC only are eligible for the exam.
    The candidate can appear for the related subject as studied in graduation.
    If the subjects are not covered as per UGC specification they can appear for their related subjects.
    The candidates qualifying the exam will be called for document verification at final stage.

    Qualifying examinations for UGC-NET

    The candidates those who have completed their post graduation in related subjects can
    appear for the exam. Those who have acquired post graduation from any recognized
    university are eligible for applying UGC-NET exam.

    Age Qualification for UGC-NET

    The candidates appearing for JRF should not be above 28 years of age.
    The candidates appearing only for lectureship have no upper age limit.
    Age relaxation of 5 years will be given to SC/ST/OBC or physically disabled or
    women or visually handicapped.

    For giving UGC NET u have to master Degree. You can choose any subject from your master degree.
    UGC NET consists of three papers
    1) General studies (50 objective questions)
    2) Your optional paper (50 objective questions)
    3) Your optional paper (Subjective questions)

    Teaching - National Eligibility Test(TET)


    In order to ascertain the eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals so that a standard could be maintained for the people who enter the field of teaching and research so that education quality is sustained, the National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET). The test is conducted in a number of subjects covering all the related subjects whose courses are provided under even a single Indian institute/university.     eligibility criteria:

    The basic eligibility criterion is different for upper primary and lower primary teaching.


    For lower primary teaching,
    you should posses any of the following educational qualification


    Higher secondary with a pass percentage of 50% and a 2 year course in Diploma in Elementary Education (passed or appearing in final year exam)



    Higher secondary with a pass percentage of 45% and a 2 year course in Diploma in Elementary Education (passed or appearing in final year exam) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002
