Re: What is the fee for B.Pharm course in the government colleges of Andhra Pradesh?

    dear friend,
this information may be useful for you
The government of Andhra Pradesh has issued a government order (GO) fixing differential
fee structure to various B. Pharmacy colleges across state for the academic year 2012-13.

Among the 284 B. Pharmacy colleges in the state, the government has fixed different fee
structure for different colleges depending up on their facilities, infrastructure and quality of education.

All the colleges have been categorized into A, B and C categories. In the top five B. Pharmacy
colleges which are categorized as ‘A’ category colleges, the government has considerably increased the
fee and fixed fee structure ranging from Rs.62,000 to Rs.91,700 for the academic year 2012-13. While
about 162 B. Pharmacy colleges which are grouped under a fee structure of Rs.35,000 have seen a hike
of Rs.4000 from the previous year’s fee of Rs.31,000. About 74 B. Pharmacy colleges have had an increase
of Rs.11,000 in their fee structure from the previous years. The government has revised their earlier fee of
Rs.20,000 to 31,000 for the current academic year.

Though some of the college administrations have considered the governments move to hike fee structures as
a good step but some of the colleges are opposing differential fee structures for different colleges and are
planning to move court for a uniform fee structure for all the colleges.

From the student’s point of view, the fee hike is considered as a big burden on the general category students.
Students who come from economically poor background will not be able to bear the huge fees structures and
may opt exiting from taking higher education.
thank you and best of luck!
