To take admission in B.Ed Punjab University you should have graduate and should clear B.ED Entrance exam.

eligibility for Bed:
i. Bachelor's degree with atleast 50 per cent marks in the aggregate, provided the candidate has offered atleast two school subjects at the first degree level.
ii. M.A. or M.Sc. or M.Sc. (Hons. School) or M.Com. degree with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in the aggregate, with combination of at least two school subjects at the first degree and postgraduate degree level.

iii. B.A. degree of the University through modern Indian Languages and English only examinations, in which case the aggregate of 50 per cent marks shall be calculated by taking into account the marks obtained in English and the elective subjects taken together.

For BEd in Punjab University you should have very high percentage in your bachelor & master degree, meritlist is made on basis of cut off marks.
Punjab govt had stopped BEd for some years, now it is open but they will again stop it. So be quick, else you have to do from out of state but with BEd out of state you cannot do govt teacher job in punjab.

There are two types of courses in b.ed they are:
1)REGULAR
2)CORRESPONDENCE 2 -year course.

FOR REGULAR AND CORRESPONDENCE STUDENTS THE ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS ARE:

1) Candidates must have scored atleast 50% marks aggregate in the Bachelor's degree/ Master's degree examination from any recognised University and the applicant has taken atleast two school subjects at the first degree and post-graduate degree level. A relaxation of 5% in marks is given to SC.ST candidates.

2) Institutions 60% seats will be given to those candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from the U.T(chandigarh) colllege. Students must have studied for two years at Chandigarh and have passed one lower qualifying examination from the college situated in the Union Territory of Chandigarh.

3) Institutions 40% seats will be given to those who have passed their qualifying examination from the institutions other than those located in the Union Territory of Chandigarh or otherwise. These seats will be called as 'General Pool'.

Eligibility for entrance test for B.Ed ( Regular)

A) For admission in the college of u.t ( Chandigarh) conditions of residence is not required.

B) UT pool 60% Out of total sanctioned intake of the institute 60% seats will be filled up from amongst the student who passed their qualification examination from colleges recognized by the Chandigarh administration and situated in the union territory of Chandigarh as a regular student of the said college.
