    Qualification required for banks exams--
    Any candidates who have graduation degree is eligible to appear in the examination of banks.
    Generally banks exam required 60% marks in 12th and also in graduation in order to appear in the examination.
    Age required to appear in the exam-
    21 to 30 for general candidates.
    5 year and 3 year relaxation in upper age for SC/ST and OBC candidates respectively.
    Now talking about eligibility criteria for PO exam-
    Generally Post office exam required 12th passed candidates.
    So if you are 12th passed student with high marks are eligible to appear in PO exams.
    Age-18 to 28
    if you have graduation degree then you can apply for IBPS exam-

    From this year a CWE- Common written examination,
    is being held for recruitment of probationary officers
    for 19 Public sector banks.
    The eligibility for CWE is a degree in any discipline from a
    recognized University or any equivalent qualification
    recognized as such by the Central Government.
    The minimum age is 21 years and maximum age limit
    is 30 years . There is age relaxation for SC, ST and OBC.

    There are two types of jobs which you can see in banks namely
    Bank PO
    Bank clerical exam

    The eligibility criteria differs from bank-bank.The eligibility criteria needed for these two jobs are given below:

    Eligibility criteria for Bank PO:
    The candidate must be a citizen of India.
    The candidates must a age limit of 21-30 years.
    The candidate must have got a degree from a recognized university with 60% aggregate.Some bank prefer for 55% aggregate.
    The candidates must know about computers and must have a knowledge on how to operate MS office.

    Eligibility criteria for Bank Clerical:
    The candidate must be a citizen of India.
    The candidate must have a age limit of 18-28 years.And relaxation age limit is there for SC/ST/OBC/PH and Ex-service men.
    The candidate must have a degree from a recognized university with 60% aggregate and for SC/ST/PH candidates it is 55%.It varies from bank-bank.

    From this you could know what job you can take and whether you are eligible for it.

    Eligibility:

    * Educational Qualifications:

    General Candidates and others - 60% or more marks in class XII and 55% or more marks in Graduation or
    Post Graduation.

    * Age - Not below 21 years and not above 30 years

    * Actually Some banks are there whose eligibility criteria for Bank PO post is pass in graduation (Bank Of Baroda recently came up with this) or sometimes a few banks ask for 55% / 60% minimum in graduation OR a Post Graduation degree.
    In both the cases above you can apply.

    for probationary officers post in banks many banks conduct bank PO exams separately.
    Eligibility criteria for Bank PO exams is:
    Educational Qualification: Graduation from a recognized institution
    Age Limit: age must be above 21 and below 30
    these are the eligibility for PO exam.

    madam i m 58% in 10 2 and only 52% marks holder in graduation,can i apply in any of the public sector bank po exam? if yes than for which bank?

    To be Eligible for any Bank PO you needed.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA -

    Educational Qualifications-

    General Candidates and others - 60% or more marks in class XII*
    and 55% or more marks in Graduation or Post Graduation.

    For SBI PO exam you must have 60% in graduation other wise not eligible.

    Age - Not below 21 years and not above 30 years.

    After graduation you are eligible for bank PO exam.

    The Indian Banking Personal Selection(IBPS) conducts Bank Probability Officer Posts exams in every year.
    Eligibility criteria:-
    **Educational Qualification is graduation in any stream from any recognized university with 50% marks.
    **Age limit:-
    for General 21 to 30years
    for BC 21 to 33years
    for Sc/st 21 to 35years
    Exam pattern:-

    ANY ONE IN THE AGE GROUP OF 18-26 YEARS HAVING A DGREE IS ELIGIBLE FOR APPEARING IN THE WRITTEN TEST. THE FORMAT OF TEST IS SIMILAR TO THE RBI EXAMINATION. TEST IS FOLLOWED BY AN INTERVIEW. CLERICAL STAFF GETS RECRUITED THROUGH REGIONAL BOARDS. THE ELIGIBILITY AND TEST FORMAT ARE THE SAME AS FOR PO EXAMINATION.

    PO - Probessionary Officers


    PO Exams eligibility is :

    You should have a degree(Without backlogs),which is recognized by government of India
    You should be Indian.
    Your age must be between 20-30 years for general category
    - For SC/ST it is 5 years relaxation
    - For BC relaxation set as 3 years.
    - For the PH candidates 10 years and ex-service-men 5years.

    Exam pattern of PO :

    Objective section carries 225 marks and should be completed in 150 minutes(1 1/2 hrs).

    The 250 questions in this section will include::
    - Verbal/Numeric Reasoning
    - General English
    - Questions related to Banking/Insurance/Investment sector,vomputers and typical quantitative aptitude.


    The Descriptive section (60 minute) will analyze the English writing caliber of You,and it carries 25 marks.

    Test of Reasoning:
    This section consists of verbal and non-verbal questions. It will have questions from

    You have to mainly deal with questions related to differences and similarities between figures, numbers or names.

    All banks can conducts the exam separately for Probationary officers and clerks.
    The eligibility can be varied from to bank to bank.

    Eligibility for clerks:


    You have to complete your 10+2 with 50% of marks in nay recognized board
    Your age should in between 18-28 years.
    You have the basic knowledge on computers.


    Some banks can ask the graduation for clerical post also...


    Eligibility for probationary officer's:

    You have to complete your graduation with 60% of marks in nay recognized university.
    Your age should in between 21-30 years.
    You have the basic knowledge on computers.

    IBPS -- Institute of Banking Personnel Selection .



    The Eligibility for IBPS exam is :
    Education qualifications - must pass / studying final year degree / engineering , which must be recognized by government of India .
    And also the student/candidate should me citizen of India.
    The age must be between 20-30 years for general candidates , for SC/ST Candidates 5 years relaxation , for BC category students relaxation set as 3 years , for the PH candidates 10 years and ex-service-men 5years .

    No of total post:1000(SC-150, ST-75, OBC-270, GEN-505,)

    1.Tier I - Preliminary Examination : Time 2 Hours

    you have to appear in objective type examination conducted by the bank.
    examination will consist of:

    i.Reasoning Ability Test

    ii.Quantitative Aptitude

    iii.General Awareness/Computer Knowledge

    iv.English Language

    2.Tier II - Main Test : Time 3 Hours

    This will be an Objective and Descriptive type examination

    the eligibilty criteria is:
    should be any graduate with 60% and above.(55% for sc/st)
    age :21-30 (5 years relaxation to sc/st, phc)
    From this year 19 public sector banks are conducting a common exam for the candidates for their selection proces i.e CWE (Common Written Examination). this will be considered as the written test for the listed banks.
    after the result the banks will give notification to all those who have cleared the CWE exam and they will mention the marks required to apply to their bank.
    after that they will conduct gd and interview.
    after successive completion of these they will join you and give training, later appoint you as PO in their banks.

    In bank P.O exam eligibility is
    1. Candidate should be indian
    2. candidate must have 60% marks in graduation and 10th and 12th for sc/st it is 55%
    3. candidate age should be between 20 to 30 years for sc/st age relaxation is 5 years for obc it is 3 years.
    all bank take an exam followed by interview to select the officer post.in bank examination sections are
    1.general aptitude
    2.computer basic knowledge
    3. general knowledge
    in some exam there are negative marks and sectional cutoff marks.
    4. English
    5. reasoning
    6. English descriptive like unseen, paragraph latter writing etc.

    For PO the educational qualification is any graduate from any recognized university.
    But some of nationalized bank, for the PO post the minimum qualification is graduate with 60%. But SBI & IBPS there are no marks.
    The candidate must secure at least 40% marks for general and 35% for ST/SC in aggregate in the PO examiantion.
    The relaxation given to the reserved categories of this examination.
    The candidate age should between 21- 30 years.

In some texts your are saying that any candidate who just simply graduate can also apply and in some texts you are saying that only 60% marks holders can apply for this po exam... Aap log itne serious matter ko itna lightly kese le raho ho or readers ko miss guide kar rahe ho... Jo ibps ki guidelines hai uske according aap sahi info do yaar... Me khud itna confuse ho chuka hu aap logo k diff. Cmnts sunkr... Plz i req. U 2 gv ryt info... And i also got belo 60% in 10th and 12th... Bt 59.8% in grad.... So m i eligbl for po exam??

    you did not mention that from which category you belongs. Because if you belongs to General category so you are not eligible but if you belongs to SC OR ST OR OBC so you can go for this exam.

    Age condition: The minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum 28 years required in IBPS

    Eligibility criteria of PO Exam:-

    A) Educational qualifications :-
    1) You need to have a degree from a recognized University or any equivalent examination recognized as such by the Government of India.
    2) You need to have fundamental computer skill.

    B) Age limit :-
    Your age should be within 21 - 28 years on the 1st January of the year of examination.

    Relaxation in Upper Age limit :-
    1) For SC/ST :- 5 years
    2) For OBC :- 3 years

    No of attempts :- You can attempt maximum 3 times for the exam.

    Bank qualifications required for examination
    A graduate degree candidates who are eligible to appear in the examination of banks.
    Banks typically test also requires 60% marks in 12th and graduation in order to appear in exams.
    Age to appear in exams
    21 to 30 for general candidates.
    5 years and SC / ST and OBC candidates respectively in the upper age: 3 years left.
    Now talking about the eligibility criteria for PO exam
    Post offices usually require candidates to pass the 12th examination.
    So if you drink high marks with the 12 th pass students are eligible to appear in exams.
    Age 18 28
    If you have a bachelor degree examination can apply for IBPS
    The eligibility criteria for the post of Bank PO fact that some banks have graduate (Bank of Baroda recently came up with this) or sometimes for some banks, 55% / 60% minimum found in undergraduate or graduate degree.

    Hi,

    Bank PO exams are conducted by IBPS which stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. The IBPS Conducts CWE(Common Written Exam) for the candidates whoa re willing to apply for the post of clerical cadre or specialist officers under 19 public sector banks.




    To apply for the exam you need to complete your 10th standard from a recognized board with a minimum of 60%

    (or)

    You need to Complete your 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum of 60%

    (or)

    You need to Complete your Graduation from a recognized University.

    Your age limit must be between 18 to 28 years of age. Age relaxations applicable for SC/ST and OBC candidates.

    For SC/ST age relaxation is 5 years.
    For OBC the age relaxation is 3 years.
    For Disabled the age relaxation is 10 years.


    To become a PO you need to appear for Exams that is conducted by IBPS which consists of 2 sections.

    The first Section is objective type question which comprises of 200 questions and each question carries 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be deduced for all the wrong answers.

    The second section is descriptive where you need to write an essay which carries 25 Marks.

    In all the Bank exams there are a lot of posts for which they are conducted and they are:

    THE POSTS FOR WHICH THE EXAM IS CONDUCTED ARE:



    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR PROBATIONARY OFFICERS:

    1)You must be a Graduate in any field from any recognized University.
    2)Your age must be between 21 to 30 years.
    3)If you are in the final year of Graduation then also you are eligible for the exams.
    4)You must have a basic knowledge of computers.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CLERKS:

    1)You must be a graduate in any field from any recognized University.

    OR

    2)You must have passed 12th class with 50% marks.

    OR

    3)You must have passed 10th class with 60% marks.

    4)There is no criteria of minimum marks for the SC/ST category candidates.

    5)Your age must be between 18 to 28 years.

    There are a total of 19 public sectors participating if you wanted to go through IBPS.

    Eligibility of PO Exam of all the banks :

    * Educational Qualifications:

    General Candidates and others - 60% or more marks in class XII and 55% or more marks in Graduation or
    Post Graduation.

    * Age - Not below 21 years and not above 30 years

    * Actually Some banks are there whose eligibility criteria for Bank PO post is pass in graduation (Bank Of Baroda recently came up with this) or sometimes a few banks ask for 55% / 60%
    minimum in graduation OR a Post Graduation degree.
