Re: What is the eligibility criteria for UPSC Examination? What is the syllabus for UPSC Exams? Which books should be referred in order to crack the examination?

There are several entrance exams conducted by UPSC. The eligibility criteria will vary based on the entrance exam that the candidate plans to take. Like for the civil service exam it is a must that the candidate should be graduate. For the NDA the minimum qualification required is 12th standard. For the IES exam the candidate should have B.Tech or B.E degree. Also the candidate should have specialised in any of the areas like civil, electrical, electronics or mechanical. Also the syllabus for the entrance exam will vary based on the entrance exam the candidate plans to take. Like for the civil service the entrance exam will be conducted in two phases. The candidates will need to clear the first level i.e. CSAT to appear for the mains exam. Various authors have published books for the various exams. You can refer to the same or join any training exam for guidance.
