NET Stands for National Eligibility Test and SET stands for State Eligibility Test. So, If you are Interested to apply for NET and SET examination, then for this you must hold a master degree from a Recognised university with at least 55% Marks, But your age is 30 so you are eligible to apply for Lectureship Post because for this post, there is no age limit criteria, So if you have pursed your master degree examination or you have completed your master degree examination with at least 55% Marks, then you are eligible for NET/SET Examination. The application form of NET exams are available online, So you can fill the application form online by visit the UGC website, The examination was held 2 times in a year, First in June and next in December. But if you want to fill the application form online, then you have to pay the fees Rs 400 in any state bank of India branch as a form of challan, and then after you can fill the online application form, If you want to get more information, then please visit the official website -

Re: What is the eligibility criteria required for NET and SET exams?

A M.A. or M.Sc or a student who has done masters in any discipline can apply for NET examination. The minimum eligibility is having a bachelors and masters degree from a recognized university with minimum 55%age and as far as age limit is concerned there are no such age limitations and one thing more I would like to suggest you that NET exam has many questions from 11th and 12th course. So, be thorough with them. So a candidate should first complete his or her masters for appearing for NET for SET examination

Re: What is the eligibility criteria required for NET and SET exams?

    hi

NET is a national Eligibility Test coducted by UGC twice a year. This exam is for the people or the candidates who want to get into the research field. Along with this they get the scholarship and also professorship or lecturership in top govt or private colleges. For that u atleast must have a post graduate degree in any discipline. Also u must get atleast 55% marks in your post graduation for general candidates and for schedule caste or tribe its 50% minimum cutoff. There is no age criteria as such. Also this entrance is conducted twice a year in june and december and the relevant info like prospectus, application form, key dates,etc.. can be accessed through its website or the daily newspapers, magazines, editorials and journals etc..in the month of march and september every year. Also remember that if u get through this entrance with a very good rank then u may even get placed in the top institute like IITs, NITS, BITS, JNU, etc..

    Good luck
