Minimum of 45% marks needed for applying the LLB. The percentage varies depend upon the institutes. Entrance test is carried out for choosing right student. After clearing the test, aspirants can attend the interview. There are all India entrance exams like CLAT, LSAT etc. for the LLB program. The exam includes language ability, aptitude learning, general science etc. Certain reputed colleges are like Symbiosis Law School, ILS Law College and Amity Law School. It is a three-year program with 6 terms. Students can specialize in corporate, civil or criminal law. This is a prestigious profession.

Re: What is the eligibility criteria required for Law or any other civil services?

Well as you told you have completed your graduation in 1996 I can guess if your present age would be around 38 years or above. If so then you are not eligible for Civil Services Examination.

Age limit for Civil Services are as follows:-

    For general candidates - 21 - 30 years

For OBC -NCL candidates - 21 - 30 years + 3 years of relaxation that means 33 years would be there final limit.

For SC/ST candidates - 21 - 30 years + 7 years up to 10 years of relaxation that means 40 years would be there final limit.

For Physically challenged - 21 - 30 years up to 10 years of relaxation that means 40 years would be there final limit.

So, if you belongs to any of the respective reserved category namely SC/ST or PH then only you can expect yourself eligible for the entrance.

Whereas for completing your graduation you are free to do so as tere is no such age bar. However going for graduation via distance mode is good option. And also I dont think so if you would be eligible for Law courses.

    Dear Neetu,

If you have not cleared your graduation then you are not eligible for 3 year LLB courses but yes yo can go for 5 year LLB hons course. for this course minimum eligibility is 45 % in +2 for general candidate. And as per as my knowledge if you have done your graduation in year 1996 then your age would not fall under the category of any civil services exams for +2 pass students.

    Wish You all the best.
