In madras university, admission is based on a rank obtained in the Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). So if you applied for this exam and you qualified it, only then you will be eligible to get admission there.

If you qualified the TNEA then you can get the admission in BE aeronautical engineering.( the 4 year under graduate course). Other eligibiltiy requirement to get admission is candidate must have passed 10+2 with some minimum percentage required.

In order to pursue a B.E. or B.Tech Course in Aeronautical Engineering, you need to pass your higher secondary examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with a minimum passing percentage of 60% or above.

It is also necessary to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E.) and other enineering exams like AIEEE. Apart from these you also need to appear for state level engineering entrance exam i.e Tamilnadu engineering exam and score a good ranking.

    Hi friend

    First
I ll make it clear that TNEA is not an exam.
It is the name for counselling admission in colleges affiliated to Anna University.
    There is no entrance exam.

To be eligible to attend TNEA ,you have to clear your class 12 with 50% if you are OC ; 45% if BC .
A pass is enough for SC/ST.

In your class 12 exams, you should have Physics ,Chemistry ,Mathematics.
The cutoff is calculated out of 200: (M/2 +( P+C)/4)

    The best colleges are

    1.Madras Institute of Technology(MIT)

    2.Hindustan Institute of Technology

3.Park college of engineering and technology

You have asked the cutoff for MIT.
It is very high-199/200 this year .

    Two facts for you.

1.The top ranker of TNEA this year chose aeronautical at MIT.

2.Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam studied aeronautical at MIT Chennai
