Dear friend, regarding the eligibility criteria in private colleges, i would like to tell you that as such there is no criteria and selection subject to the rules of the concerned institute but in good colleges JRF /NET qualified candidates are preferred. For lecturership in govt college one mandatorily needs to qualify NET exam after Msc with percentage 55% or more. Even in good institutes Phd candidates having JRF are preferred. Best of luck.............

The minimum qualification is post graduation. In some private colleges if you are post graduate with experience then you may get job. But maximum colleges demand for post graduation with B.ED even some ask for rank obtained in entrance exam.

hello, if you do m.sc. or b.ed. or d.ed. also can join as a professor in govt or private colleges. the person who qualify d.ed. can also join in secondary schools as a teacher. so these are the options to do and in these m.sc. is the best option to do.

For both colleges master degree is compulsory for lecturership.

If you want to join a goverment colleges the you should complete the NET exam which is conducted by UGC,ICAR,ICMR and CSIR-UGC.

But in private colleges this is not compulsory it is compulsory only those in which this matter is mentioned otherwise not.

Net exam of UGC and -CSIR is conducted twice a year, you can see the details at the official site-http://http://www.ugc.ac.in/

    hi
you have interest in lecturer.you have scope in this field.because lecturere demand will increase and increase as number of students and institute will increase.
you should have bachelor degree recognized by state or central universtiy approved by AICTE to become lecturer in private colleges.
if you want to become lectrure in gov.college ,then you should have minimum qualification of master degree. and also quality the UGC-NET exam which is held twice per year.
you can do Phd for higher post lecturer or principal of H.O.D(head of department) in gov. college.
in this field there is better prospect and nice oppotunities also.
