Hello,

I have completed my B.A (53%) and M.A (57%) & have 4 years of experience of teaching. Am I eligible candidate to be recruited as Lecturer in any government / government approved Junior college in Maharashtra? I heard that the candidate must have minimum 55% in both graduation and post-graduation, is this condition true? Or scoring 57% in M.A. makes me eligible for this post?

Any help on this will be highly appreciated.

Hello ..madam. To get the job in government aided college you need to qualify the SET exam conducted by the U.G.C government.If you have qualified in SET exam then only you are eligible to appoint as a lecturer in university /junior colleges in Maharashtra.
One should fulfill the qualifications prescribed for the lecturer post by the U.G.C.
The U.G.C. has conducted the SET examinations by the University of Pune ,the State Agency of the Government of Maharashtra and at the Government of Goa.

well you have secured 57% in m.a but you have not completed your PHD and obtaining PHD degree is compulsory for getting the post of lecturer in govt colleges in maharastra

Yes you have to apply for SET examination.
SET is conducted by state government for the Lectruership post in different university of Maharastra state.

SET stands for State Eiligibity test.

The candidates must have 55 % marks in Master degree course.

And 50 % for sc/st candidates.
