Re: What is the eligibility criteria for Civils and SSC of UPSC?

First and foremost to appear in civil service exams you need to have a bachelor’s degree. You can choose specialisation in any one of the streams. It should be from a recognized university. Those who are over 30 years cannot apply for this test. Even those who are under 21 years will be underage for this exam. You are given four chances to qualify for this test. Incase the candidate belongs to the OBC category they are given an additional 3 more attempts. SC/ST candidates can apply as many times as there is no limit in the attempts. The same rules apply for those who wish to appear for SSC exams. The notifications of these exams will have all the required information.

The qualification for both civil service and SSC are same . First of all you should have a graduation in any stream from a recognized university .You should have at least 55% marks in the graduation ,you should be above 21 and below 30 years old , and some relaxation is given to OBC and SC/ST .Usually one can attend the exam 4 times , and for the OBC secession it is extended for 3 more times ,and for SC/ST there is no limit in attending the exam .Once if you pass the exam then there will be an interview ,those candidates who successfully passed both the test will be selected for the IAS or SSC

Re: What is the eligibility criteria for Civils and SSC of UPSC?

    Hi Dear,
The most important thing for appearing in UPSC or SSC exam you have minimum qualification of Graduation level from any stream ,and you have attained the age the minimum 21 years .Then you may able to apply for these exams . There are several steps which you have follow step by step and their also some restrictions according to the GEN/OBC/ST/SC classses. Suppose you fall under the category of GEN then there are only 4 attempts for appearing in UPSC exam or OBC - 3 more attempts , ST/SC - till the age of 35 years . Thus ,after this there are three stages for clearing this exam i.e :
    1. Pre - examination
    2. Main - examination
    3. Finally, Interview.
So, in this way you can clear UPSC exam . Thanks

You must have Bachelor degree from any recognized University in order to appear in the UPSC exams.
But some of UPSC exam required minimum qualification 12th..Like NDA examination which requires 12th class education,.
But mostly exam requires Graduation as minimum qualification.
And now talking about Age limit-
    Age limit for NDA exam-
16 half to 19 years there is no relaxation in upper age for SC/ST and OBC candidates...
    For other Civil Service exam-
    21 years to 30 years
and here is relaxation in upper age for SC/ST candidates--
5 year relaxation to SC and ST category students and 3 years for OBC category candidates in upper age...
