    *Electronics & Communication Engineering

    *Mechanical Engineering

    *Computer Science & Engineering

    *Chemical Engineering

*Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.
*Experience of at least 3 years for Scientist 'C', 7 years for Scientist 'D', 10 years for Scientist 'E', 13 years for Scientist 'F' and 15 years for Scientist 'G' in research/ design/ development or production in the required area.

    >>The open category candidate has to be in the age bracket of 21-30 years of age.

With upper limit relaxation to reserved categories as follows:

1.5 years in case of SC/ST candidates
2.3 years in case of OBC candidates
3.5 years for Physically Handicapped Persons (10 years for SC/ST and 08 years for OBC candidates) in identified disciplines even if no posts are reserved for them in these areas.
4.In case of Ex-serviceman, services rendered in the armed forces plus 3 years

You can apply for different grades of scientists, for which you may check the age limit for all:

For Scientist `B': not exceeding 28 years

For Scientist `C': not exceeding 35 years

For Scientist `D' and Scientist 'E': not exceeding 45 years
