There are two types of banks in the country i.e Nationalised and Private Banks. To join the Nationalised Banks there are two options available. One can join at the clerical post and the other is Probationary Officer post. To join as a clerk 12th score is sufficient and for Probationary Officer graduation is required. The minimum score of 55% in the same is required. There are age limits too. For clerical post the maximum limit is 28 years and for probationary officer it is 30 years. For the private banks the requirement are more specific like maximum age limit is 28 years. Since you are a graduate you can try for the probationary officer post. Whenever there is a vacancy the banks will announce the recruitment process.

Re: What is the eligibility criteria for Bank jobs?

As to appear in any of the bank recruitment process you will need to have passed a graduation. Most of the banks carry out their own recruitment process. There are mainly two positions to which a graduate can apply for. These are Clerical post and Probationary officer post. For clerical post candidates needs to have pass graduation and also +2 with 60% or more marks. For the probationary officer posts candidates will have to have to pass graduation with 60% and more marks. The age limit is another major criterion for banks in the selection process. For the clerical post candidates needs to be in between the age group of 18 28 years of age. In some banks the maximum age limit can also be as less as 25 years. For the Probationary officer post, candidates will have to be in between 21 30 years of age.

Re: What is the eligibility criteria for Bank jobs?

Qualification for bank exams vary for every cadre. Let me figure out some basic things for you,
1)Clerical:Basically the minimum qualification for this cadre is 10+2 or equivalent with 60% or a pass in a degree. Some banks accept three year diploma courses like you too. But we can expect in all.
Union bank which you have asked have not mentioned three year diploma in the eligibility.Either candidates with a degree or 10+2 only is accepted. That too an course in computers is required.
Banks are also conducting recruitment for other cadres like probationary officers, specialist officers, law officers etc ...
My suggestion is if you are really interested in taking a career in banks, kindly go for further studies and you can even apply for higher grades. It doesn't mean diploma is not accepted in banks, but the percentage is less.
