    Hi ,

    Eligibility Requirement for IIT JAM 2011 Admission :

    • for General:candidate must have at least 55% aggregate in graduation
    • for OBC : candidates must have at least 50% aggregate in graduation
    • for SC, ST and PD : candidates must have a graduation degree.
    • for candidates with grades/CGPA in place of marks equivalent aggregate will be decided by the Admitting Institutes
    • Candidates should submit Marksheet of their graduation by 30th September 2011
    • Candidates will have to submit a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner.
    • Candidates may also have to undergo a physical fitness test by a medical board constituted
    • In case a candidate is found physically unfit to pursue his/her chosen course of study, his/her admission will be cancelled.

    Eligibility criteria JAM Exam
    • Candidate should have graduate degree from any recognized university.
    • Candidate are allowed relaxation in marks.....

    General 55% marks
    OBC 50% marks
    SC, ST and PD no requirement only degree.
    • Candidate should be Indian citizen.
    • Candidate have to go through fitness test before exam.

    INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY - JOINT ADMISSION TEST FOR M.Sc. (IIT - JAM) IS THE ENTRANCE EXAM

    FOR THOSE WHO ARE ENTERING INTO IITs FOR M.Sc.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE CANDIDATES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

    1.THE CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE COMPLETED GRADUATION IN THE REPUTED INSTITUTE.

    2.FOR THE GENERAL CATEGORY STUDENTS

    THE PERCENTAGE IN GRADUATION SHOULD BE ABOVE 55%.

    AND FOR OBC CATEGORY STUDENTS:

    THE PERCENTAGE IN GRADUATION SHOULD BE ABOVE 50%.

    AND FOR SC/ST CATEGORY STUDENTS :

    THERE IS NO RESTRICTION IN MARKS IN GRADUATION. BUT, THEY SHOULD COMPLETE GRADUATION.

    iit jam 2011 eligibility,
    * you should have 55%agregate marks for general/obc candidates an 50% aggregate marks for sc, st and pd category candidates in the qualigying degree.
    * proof of having the qualifying degree with the minimum educational qualification as specified by the admitting institute should be submitted by 30th sept 2011.

    Indian Institutes of Technology conducts a Joint Admission test JAM for admission to M.Sc. and other post-B.Sc. programmes at the IITs.

    IIT-JAM is a Joint admission test for M.SC

    MINIMUM MARKS NEEDED:

    ->You must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks for General category.

    ->You must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks if you belong to SC, ST and PD category.


    Proof of having passed the qualifying degree with the minimum educational qualification should be submitted by 30th September 2011.

    These candidates can appear for the IIT-JAM:

    1)M.Sc. Applied Geology (IITB, IITR)/ Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D. in Geology (IITKgp)/ M.Tech. Geological Technology (IITR)/ M.Sc.-Ph.D. dual degree programme in Applied Geology (IITB): Bachelorís degree with Geology as a subject for three years/six semesters and any two subjects among Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biological Science. The candidate must have Mathematics at (10+2) level.

    2)M.Sc. Applied Geophysics (IITB)/ M.Sc.-Ph.D. dual degree programme in Applied Geophysics (IITB): Bachelorís degree with both Mathematics and Physics as subjects for two years and at least one of them as a subject for three years.

    3)M.Sc. Applied Statistics and Informatics (IITB)/ M.Sc. Statistics (IITK)/ Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D. in Mathematics (IITKgp.)/ M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree in Operations Research (IITB):Bachelorís degree with either Mathematics or Statistics as a subject for at least two years or four semesters.

    4)M.Sc. Biotechnology (IITB, IITR)/M.Sc.ĖPh.D. Dual Degree in Biotechnology (IITB):Bachelorís degree in any branch of Science/ Agriculture / Pharmacy / Veterinary / Engineering / Medicine (MBBS).

    5)M.Sc. Chemistry (IITB, IITD, IITG, IITH, IITK, IITM, IITR)/ Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D. in Chemistry (IITKgp):Bachelorís degree with Chemistry as a subject for three years/six semesters and Mathematics at (10+2) level.

    6)M.Sc. Mathematics (IITB, IITD, IITK, IITM)/ M.Sc. Mathematics and Computing (IITG)/ M.Sc. Applied Mathematics (IITR)/ M.Sc. Industrial Mathematics and Informatics (IITR): Bachelorís degree with Mathematics as a subject for at least two years/four semesters.

    IIT JAM examination is conducted by the different IIT's every year.The examination is to provide admissions to various M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree and other post-bachelor degree programmes at the IITs.There will be single examination and based on the performance in that exams it will be decided whether you will get the admission in the MSC program or not .

    Eligibility ::

    You should have got at least 55% aggregate marks if you fall under General/OBC category candidates and there is 5% marks relaxation for the reserved caste students.So it is 50% aggregate marks for SC, ST and PD category candidates in the qualifying degree.

    Pattern of the examination ::

    The question paper of the Biotechnology and Computer Applications will be of objective type which means that you have to mark a one correct answer out of 4 or 5 choices .

    Other subjects test papers will be objective-cum-subjective type. In each of these test papers, objective and subjective questions will carry weightages of 30% and 70% respectively.

    Procedure to apply for the IIT JAM::

    You can get the application form either online or through offline .For filling the form offline you can get the application form either by hand or through the Post .To fill form online visit the official website .The notification for the IIT JAM 2102 is not yet declared but soon we can expect the dates .

    you want eligibilty for writing IIT-JAM entrance exam...it is an entrance test for M.sc
    ELIGIBILTY:
    At least 55% aggregate marks in graduation
    At least 50% aggregate marks for sc/st/obc.
    EXAM:

    Eligibility Requirement for IIT JAM 2012 Admission :
    The candidates who qualify in JAM 2012 shall have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria for admissions in IITs.
    • At least 55% aggregate marks ( taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined ) for General / OBC category candidates and at least 50% aggregate marks ( taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined ) for SC, ST and PD category candidates in the qualifying degree.     1. It will entirely be the responsibility of the candidate to prove that he / she satisfies the minimum educational qualifications and eligibility requirements for admissions.

    IIT JAM 2012 is an entrance examination which is generally taken for getting admission in M.Sc. and other post-graduate B.Sc. programmes at IITs.

    The required eligibility criteria is :

    >You must have secured at least 55% aggregate marks (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for general/OBC category candidates and all candidates must have at least 50% aggregate marks for SC, ST and PD category candidates in the qualifying degree.

    >You are supposed to submit the proof of having passed the qualifying degree with the minimum educational qualification.
