dear friend if you want to pursue M.A in English you need to have English as a subject in your graduation.theN only you will be able to pursue M.A.MOST OF THE INSTITUTIONS TAKE ADMISSIONS ON MERIT basis,there is no such entrance exam but the admissions are given on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by you in your graduation in that particular subject in which you want to pursue M.A.all the best!!!!!!!

The eligibility for admission in M.A in English is a B.A degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks.

The criteria may differ a little for different institutes.

Dear friend the eligibility criteria is a graduation degree with english and 55% marks as aggregate in B.A. In some colleges the selection is purely merit based while in other there is an entrance test of which eligibility is 55%. Also some good colleges offering MA english are DU, AMU, Xavier college etc. Best of luck.............

For M.A in english the minimum qualification is B.A with any recognized university moreover different universities have their own criteria for example;
Mumbai university required 50% marks in B.A if you are from mumbai university and 55% if you are from any other university in six papers of english. Students who have done 3 papers are also eligible but have to clear entrance exam conducted by the department. Osmania university required 40% marks in aggregate and the admission is based on the entrance exam conducted by the department etc.

for doing MA english then compulsory in graduation you must have done BA english.

and as you also have the teaching experience you will get the

priority over the other candidates applying for the same post.

Also there is no need to appear for NET examination as it is generally

given by the students to apply for Ph.D. degree which you already

have.

Dear freind,it is good that to pursue masters degree.If you want to pursue MA then you must be graduate in BA from same field from a reputated institute with good marks.Doing of masters degree after graduation is a good choice.

You didn't tell us the college or university name.

But the eligiblity for taking admission in M.A wth english is graduation with english.

Before applying you should conform about percentage demand because there are many colleges which demand 60% or 50% inn graduation.
