The duration for the doctor pf philosophy degree(P.HD) is normally 6 semesters (24 months). Course work of 18 semester hours may normally be completed in three semesters (12 months). The dissertation may be completed in the remaining 3 semesters (12 months). The maximum duration of the PhD program is 18 semesters (72 months).

mainly after completing of your m.com you have interested in ph.d so in ph.d mostly 3 year but if in 3 year if you are not pass than you have more time but mostly in 3 year you can complete ph.d
