Re: What to do between MCA and MBA after completing B.Sc (Maths)?

Don't be confused so much, just choose any one of the course as per your Interest. As you know that both the field are totally different. MCA stands for Master in Computer application and the duration of this course is 3 years, whereas MBA Stands for Master in Business Administration and the duration of this course is 2 years. The admission procedure is also quite different for these course. If you want to take admission in MBA, then you have to cracked the CAT or MAT Examination. Both these examination are very famous examination to get seat in top Business schools and colleges.

If you want to take admission in MBA or wants to make your career in Management field then you have to appear for any one of the examination. With the help of CAT Examination, you will get admission in Top 10 Business schools of India i.e IIM's and Others. But you need to scored more than 95 percentile in CAT Examination, The admission is based on group discussion and Personal Interview and if you cracked all these stages then you will get admission in top business schools.

To apply for CAT Examination, you need to complete your Graduation and scored at-least 50% marks in your graduation. But for MAT only passed in graduation is enough.

The major difference is that CAT examination is conducted only 1 times in a year. But MAT Examination is conducted 4 times in a year. You can choose 2 field in your MBA.

But if you think that you are interested or Good in computer and make your career in software field then MCA is the best decision. The duration of this course is 3 years and the admission is based on NIMCET or IIT JAM. To apply for these examination, you need to scored minimum 60% marks in your graduation and study Maths in your Intermediate examination.

So, both the course are good, so you have to choose any one of the course between two, so take your decision by your own.

Both are good options choose the option according to the your interest MCA OR MBA . MCA Stands for Master of Computer Application and duration of course is 3 years . The course is divided into 6 semesters and the course deals with computer applications and development of applications . It consist of all major papers in your semester . First two semester deals with basics of programming languages and it is consist of mathematical papers as well as one accountancy paper . 3rd , 4th and 5th semester deals with advance levels of programming and their applications . 6th semester you have a one project . It is fully related to the computers and their application .

-->> Minimum required to qualification :: you must have a completed your graduate degree with any discipline from a recognized University .
-->> But you must have a compulsory mathematics as a subjects in your 12th examination then only you are eligible to apply .
-->> This AICTE rule , if you are not studied your 12th exam with mathematics as subject then you are not eligible to apply .
-->> Final year candidates are eligible to apply for MCA Entrance examination .

MBA also most demand course compare the MCA course , it have a good scope in future . MBA stands for Master of Business Administration and the duration of course is 2 years . The course is divided into 4 semesters and the course deals with business administration as well as related to the accounts . Large no.of preferring the MBA course because duration of time is less than compare to the MCA course as well as demand course in the current trend . You have a lots of opportunities in the Public and Private sector Companies .

-->> Many colleges offering the MBA course .
-->> Required Qualification , you must have a completed graduate degree with any discipline from a recognized University .
-->> Final year candidates are eligible to apply for this examination .
-->> MBA entrance examination are CAT , MAT , GMAT , XAT , SNAP ...etc.

Re: What to do between MCA and MBA after completing B.Sc (Maths)?

    Dear Friend,

The choice is simple. You need to analyse your strengths and abilities and then make your decision. Your future interests also matters a lot.

In general, MBA is considered better in terms of career options and salary as they get maximum amount of salary being on managerial posts.

But if you are not able to do well in it then there will be very difficult for you to get any job.

You should have the ability to secure a seat in any reputed MBA college.

For that you should be good at English, Aptitude and Reasoning.

Instead. if you are good at programming and computers then go for MCA.

    The choice is yours...

    Thank you.

Re: What to do between MCA and MBA after completing B.Sc (Maths)?

    Hi Friend...

After the completion of your B.Sc mathematics course of study you can take up both the MCA and also MBA courses of study and among these as you are of the B.Sc mathematics student it is better to take up the MBA course of study as this MBA is the business related course of study and had good future prospects and the PG in MBA is having many other specializations which are also available for taking up and some of the different specializations which are available are of...
    MBA in Marketing
    MBA in Finance
    MBA in Information technology
    MBA in Hospitality
    MBA in Human resource
    MBA in Operational management,etc...
these are the different specializations which are available in the MBA course of study...

you can take up any of these course of study after your B.Sc in mathematics course and it is god take up the MBA in Finance or marketing and they both are good for the B.Sc mathematics candidates...

As the MCA is related to the computers applications and computers course of study this is completely different from your course of study...
so take up the MBA course of study as it will be better for appearing to the PG course after your B.Sc maths course of study..
