    What to do to become an IAS officer after completion of B.Tech from a private university?

    sir,
    i am a B.Tech 2 nd year student in a private university.I came to known the value of social service to man kind .I changed a lot and i am interested in getting IAS not for just sallary and status,but, to serve the nation .so pleases help me as a guidedone to get IAS.

    After completing your B.tech you can apply for IAS exam because it is compulsary to have a degree from recogonised university, here are complete details about IAS exam......

    IAS means Indian Administrative Services and is basically meant for those aspiring candidates who have strong dedication towards the country.



    India holds a UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS officers are recruitment.

    Eligibility Criteria :-

    The minimum qualification required for appearing the competitive examination is Graduation. Many professionals like Engineers, Doctors, persons with Ph.d qualifications are competing for UPSC.

    Application forms will come out in the month of January.

    Paper Pattern for IAS :-

    Unlike present,now there are two objective type papers carrying equal marks, in which
    1) General-Studies paper carries 150 marks
    2) Optional paper carries 150 marks.

    Instead of one compulsory paper of General Studies and one Optional paper, both the papers shall be compulsory.

    If you want to become an IAS officer then you can go for the coaching in Civils course to apply for the civils exam and get qualified to become an IAS officer and also you can select the IAS institution which gives properr coaching for the B.Tech students to become as IAS officers.

    If you want to be a IAS(Indian Administrative services) officer after completion of B.Tech(Bachelors of Technology)
    , then you have to appear for CSE(Civil services examination).The procedure to appear for the exam can be as follows:
    1)Preliminary exams-
    This is the first exam and a objective one where you would be asked questions from various subjects such as general
    awareness, english, mental ability, etc.

    2)mains exam-
    this is a subjective exam.At this stage, where you would be opt for subjects according to your own preference.

    3)Personal interview-
    This is the third and most crucial stage in the whole process.You would require to appear for the interview in a language understandable
    to the interviewer.

    It does not really matters which stream you belong to as they just look for graduates in any discipline from a recognized university.

    Your age should be between 21-30 years.

    At the most you can attempt for four times.

    Selection procedure includes preliminary exams, main examination followed by interview.

    Hey....

    To be eligible to apply for Civils, you must be a graduate from a recognized University. Then you must apply for the UPSC exam for which notification will fall around Jan. The details can be obtained from UPSC official website. This exam is conducted once every year and there are 3 rounds in it.

    Prelims, followed by mains, then the final interview.

    Exam for 2012 is already completed. So you can watch out for the notification for 2013.

    If your B-TECH degree course is recognized , then definitely you are applicable for IAS Exam.

    IAS exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year through Civil Service Exam.So you must attend in CSAT exam.

    Those candidate have completed graduation degree or final year of graduation degree from recognized board are applicable for IAS exam.


    But your age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide only for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.


    The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. for OBC candidate it is 7 times and for general candidate it is 5 times.


    Civil Service examination can be divided as three stages.


    1)Preliminary

    2)Main exam
    3)Interview

    For appearing in civil services examination you must have graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university.
    You must have attains the minimum age 21 yeara and maximum age 30 years.
    The upsc conducts the exams of IAS to recruit the officers.
    The examination is very difficult and have to workhard a lots.
    This is one of the toughest exams.
    So for your better performance you have to workhard dear.
    For OBC and SC/ST age ralaxation is given.
    For obc: 3 years
    for scst: 5 years
    no. Of attempts:
    genaral: 4 times
    OBC: 7 times
    scst: no limit

    Procedure to become IAS officer is:

    -->How ever You completed your degree from a recognized University, so your eligible for IAS.
    -->You should get the age of 21 years and should not exceed 30 years.
    -->You should then clear the three level exam pattern
    -->First you need to clear CSAT which is the screening exam conducted.
    -->After that Mains is the big hurdle for every aspirant.
    -->Then the Personal interview is the final hurdle
    -->After that result will be announced
    -->You will be given a service according to your choice and cadre according to your fate.
    -->You will be called for training.
    -->After completing the training period you will be appointed as IAS officer in your cadre.
    this is the procedure and path which is followed by every Aspirant of IAS


    Now Iam going to tell you about pattern of the three leveled examination and how to crack those exams.

    -->First level is prelims.Now the same is called as CSAT (Civil Service Aptitude Test)
    *This exams motto is to find out the serious applicants for the examination.this exam will check the IQ level of the applicant.
    *This exam is conducted in Multiple Choice format.
    if you want to crack this exam then you should be thorough with the format and prepare according to the syllabus.

    -->Next Mains this is the subjective type you have to do intense preparation on the selected optional subjects and need to crack this level with care.
    *In this stage only the subject selection will come into picture if you do preparation with coaching institute then they will clearly explain you how to select the subjects.

    -->Next is Interview this will be like the HR round but with more than one HR Manager.
    *This can be easily cracked by anyone who prepare and has habituated with interviews.


    Number of attempts :

    *4 attempts for general candidates.
    *7 attempts for OBC candidates.
    *No limit for SC/ST candidates.

    IAS - Indian Administrative Service,As you have done B.Tech so you are eligible ...you can apply for IAS exam.You must be a graduate in any of the streams from a recognized university.

    Age limits :

    You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
    The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:
    upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.
    upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes(BC's)


    Number of attempts :

    The number of attempts can vary based on the Reservation your have i.e
    General candidates: four attempts.
    Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction.
    Other Backward Classes: seven attempts.

    After completion of your Bachelor of Technology course of study if you wish to apply for the IAS you need to apply for the Civil Services examination which is conducted by the UPSC and these civil services examination will be conducted for the selection of the candidates and the selected candidates in the CSAT Examination will be called for the Interview and after getting selected in this finale interview you will be recruited in to one of the civil services...................

    The IAS is the Indian Administrative Services which are conducted by the Union Public Services Commission in India and this Organisation conducts the selection procedures for many of the different services and among them the civil services are also one of the services offered by the UPSC...........

    The IAS examination needs to be satisfy some of the eligibility criteria which must be required in order to apply for the Civil Services.at first see the mentioned eligibility criteria and if u satisfy all the eligibility criteria you can appear for the civil services examination..........
    Eligibility Criteria for Civil Services:
    *Age Limit-
    You must have attained the age of 21 years and must not exceed the age of 30 years

    *Educational Qualifications-
    you must have qualified the Graduation or the Bachelor degree course of study in any of the disciplines.

    How to become IAS:-

    --Its good to complete your graduation course in the engineering and after this you need to apper for the entrance examination .

    --You need to clear the Civil Services examination which is conducted by the UPSC and there will be CSAT examination for this if you are selected in this you will be called for an interview

    --UPSC conducts the Indian Administrative Services and to to appear for this exam you need to follow some eligibility conditions as follows:-

    --You can appear for the exam if you are in the final year also

    There will be selection procedure for this after completion of the eligibility criteria for the exams you need to get good score in this examination
