If you want to join for the MBA you need to attend the entrance exam. You should either attend the CAT/MAT exam. Since you want to get in to IIMs for MBA, it is compulsory for you to attend the CAT. It is not mandatory that you should gain experience to get in to IIM. The minimum qualification for attending the CAT exam is a graduation in any discipline. This should be from a recognized university. Also you need to score at least 50 % of marks in the graduation level. You can apply for many of the reputed B.schools including the IIMS if you get high score in CAT.
