You should be a graduate to become an IAS officer. You should attend the Civil services exam conducted by UPSC to apply for IAS post. The main criterion to apply for this exam is a graduation in any discipline. There is no specification that graduation should be completed in a specified subject area. You should secure graduation from a recognized institute. You should be having a minimum age of 21 years. Those who are applying should appear in the written exam. The candidate needs to teend the GD/Interview after the exam.
