The field is divided into

>>heat as applied to engines, work and energy, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning.


Electronics :
>>Electronic engineering deals with the research, design, integration, and application of circuits and devices used in the transmission and processing of information.

Both mechanical and ece are one of the core baranches and both the engineers are required in almost every industry but the basic differnce is

Mechanical engineer-

-Mechanical engineering deals with
machinery -- automobiles, trucks,
machine tools, engines, pumps, and
things of that nature -- including
weapons and requires more labour work than ece
-Offers lucrative jobs in the government sector but less scope in the private sector




ECE
-Basically rwlated to technology and communication devuces like semiconductors.
-Mainly the private sector dominates the major portion of the jobs

I think you should opt for that stream
which interests you more rather than
which has more money killing your
interests.
