Re: What is the difference between Civil Engineering and B.Arch?

Civil Engineering is basically oriented towards building infrastructure. The infrastructure includes building of roads, dams, sewage system along with buildings. B. Architecture course focuses on the how to design and making layouts. It focuses more on the exterior part of construction. A Civil Engineer uses the designs created by Architecture and decides how to go about doing it. A Civil engineer needs to focus on how best the plans and layouts can be implemented by keeping in mind the safety factor. Both the Civil Engineer and Architecture are a must for smooth functioning. It is important they discuss all the pros and cons together before going ahead with the construction with mutual consent.

Re: What is the difference between Civil Engineering and B.Arch?

Even though, both civil engineering and Architecture engineering deals with construction the main difference is in the application. B.Arch is a course is more into the design, layout and exterior appearance of a building. At the same time B.Tech in civil engineering deals with the tactics of construction of the existing design. Architectures imagine the design of the building. Civil Engineers focus in the practicality of a building’s design. As to come up with a successful design both civil engineers and Architecture engineers needs one another’s guidance. It is very important to have a good engineer-architect alliance. This will help to have a well-organized and superior project result.

Re: What is the difference between Civil Engineering and B.Arch?

1.Depends on what part you want to be involved in. Civil Engineering is more the hard technical speciality of brick and mortar, whereas the Architect is more on the soft technical issues of light, color, movement and style. Both, however, may have to comply with the same codes and laws, but they have different points of view.
2.Architectural and Structural engineers are tasked with making an Architect's vision "work." That is, what materials, technology and techniques are necessary to construct the building.Civil Engineering is more about what is ordinarily thought of as infrastructure--roads, airports, rail-lines, levees, bridges, sewers.

Re: What is the difference between Civil Engineering and B.Arch?

B.Arch is the course where the experts teach us how to design a particular architecture in cosideration with their practical difficulties. Any building that are designed should be able to consruct those buildings. Where as civil Engineering is the effective implementation of those ideas practically with respect to the architecture designed by the B.Arch persons.

Re: What is the gdifference between Civil Engineerin and B.Arch?

    Civil Engineering:--

Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and

maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals,

dams, and buildings.Civil engineering is the oldest engineering discipline after military

engineering, and it was defined to distinguish non-military engineering from military engineering..

    B.Arch:--

The Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) is an undergraduate academic degree designed to satisfy the

academic component of professional accreditation bodies, to be followed by a period of practical

training prior to professional examination and registration. It is awarded for a course of study that

lasts up to five years. In some cases, a B.Arch can be undertaken after having completed a

three-year generalized architectural degree plus an additional two years.
