    For writing this exam the candidates must be eligible.The eligibility criteria are as follows:

    Eligibility:

    The candidates must have master's degree from a recognized university.
    The age limit for ARS exam is that the candidate must have age limit of 21-32 years.
    For NET exam the candidates must have attained 21 years while appearing for the exam.
    For candidates who are working in ICAR need to be below 45 years.

    ASRB recurit the best candidate for Scientist and Lecturer in ARS.

    To sit in this exam,You should complete your Master degree.
    For Net exam,Your age must not be below to 21 and there is no limit in upper age.
    For Research exam, Your age should between 21 to 32 years.

    To join the ARS,You should clear out the exams of ASRB successfully.Selection will be based on two exams --

    ARS/NET Stands for Agricultural Research Services/National Eligibility Test.



    This is a national eligibility test conducted by Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB) for the selection of candidates for the post of Scientists in Agricultural Research Service (ARS).

    This Examination consists of both Preliminary Examination and Main Examination.

    Eligibility Criteria for appearing this Examination is :-

    Educational Qualifications :

    >>You must have a Post Graduate Degree in the concerned subjects from a recognized University .

    >>There no specific requirements of your Percentages in your Academic Career.

    >>Unless you are not an Post Graduate from any discipline you cannot apply for the preliminary tests.

    >>Those who qualify the preliminary exams can apply for the Main exams.

    Age Limits :

    You should be in between 21 and 32 years of age only.
    The ICAR employees have provided with an age relaxation of 13 years.

    Number of Attempts :

    Structure of ARS/NET 2012 :

    As i said earlier, those who qualify the Preliminary Test will be called for the Main Exam.

    The Preliminary Exam consists of objective type questions carries 200 marks.
    The time for the exam will be of 2 and Half hours.

    The Main Exam consists of descriptive questions which carries 240 marks.
    The time for the exam will be of 3 hours.

    Those who passed the main exam will be called for a Viva-Voce test. The marks awarded for the test is 60 marks.

    ARS NET is a written type exam.

    First you have to pass Post Graduation with any subject.
    there are not requaire for marks.
    your age should not below 21 years and not more then 32 years.
    age relaxation is 13 years.
    you can take exam only 4 times in your life.

    This ARS/NET (Agricultural Research Services/National Eligibility Test) is a national eligibility entrance test conducted by Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB) for the selection of eligible students for the post of Scientists in Agricultural Research Service (ARS).

    The Students who pass in the ARS/NET are eligible for getting the post of Lectures in State Agricultural Universities.

    SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:

    1)Preliminary examination

    The preliminary test consists of objective type questions carries 200 marks. The Duration of the exam is two and a half hours.

    2)Main examination.

    The main exam consists of descriptive questions which carries 240 marks. The Duration of the exam is three hours.

    Those students who passed the main exam will be called for a Viva-Voce test. The Total marks for the test is 60 marks.

    The students who clear the tests will be called for admission in ICAR institutes. The selection is based on the marks scored in the Main exam and Viva ĖVoce.

    NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS: Only Four Attempts are allowed.

    SYLLABUS FOR ARS NET EXAM IS:

    The Prelims consists of two parts of 200 questions. First part has 50 questions of General knowledge. Second part has 150 questions from the professional subjects according to the specialization of the students.
