The exam for 19 public sector banks is conducted by IBPS(INSTITUTE OF BANKING PERSONNAL SELECTION) twice every year.
their will be 5 section in the written test-
general english
general awareness
quantitative aptitude
logical reasoning
computer knowledge

their will be total of 250 questions, 5o questions from each sections. and the candidates have to score atleast 40% marks in each sections which the
minimum qualifying marks for the general candidates while for the sc/st candidates its 35%.
their will be negative marking of 0.25 marks on every wrong answer,so the candidate should mark only right answer which they know and be carefull while marking answers.

About IBPS stands for Institute Of Banking Personal Selection :

This is conducted the common written exam for posting in 19 normalized banks for various posts such as CLERK, SPECIALIST OFFICER, PO ,MT etc;.

For writing the common entrance exam required educational qualifications are you must completed the graduation from recognized university or must pass the 10+2 with minimum 55% of marks from recognized board or at least you must completed the 10th class with minimum 60% of marks.

Here also required age limit,that is in between 18 years to 30 years and here age relaxation is available as per govt rules for reserved category candidates.

Selection Processor :

For requiting the clerk post in any of the 19 normalized banks,the selection processor is based on the written test and personal interview,apart from first conducted the written test and after qualifying called for personal interview.

The written test question paper will be consists of 2 papers objective paper and descriptive paper nature and these containing the questions from following sections.

- - > Computer Awareness
- - > General Awareness

IBPS - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is basically an organization which conducts this examination aimed at selecting banking candidates for various 19 banks under the IBPS. Its held twice every year.

Now since there are many banks so the cut off for each bank is different. There are 3 entries like :

CLERICAL
PROBATIONARY OFFICER
SPECIALIST OFFICER

So an average the pattern of the paper is :

General Awareness
LR
DI
Quantitative maths
Marketing/Computer

So you have to score a minimum 40% in each of them to clear the cut off for the IBPS calls.

hai friend i think that you are interested to become as a bank employee. the cut off marks for ibps exam are different for different banks.these marks for ibps clerk exam are more because the no of participants are increasing day by day. because of this reason the cut off marks will be more. And the another important thing is these marks are different for different banks,some of them are 21 and 24 depends upon the vacancies of the bank.
And the another important thing is that the person who will going to the bank exam must qualify the 10+2/graduation and he has to secure about 55% of marks. And these percentage also depends upon the marks only.IBPS marks calculated as given below:

Those candidates who have passed 12th with maths as a subject from a recognized board with a minimum of 60% marks are allowed to appear for the IBPS Clerk exam.
And the age limit for the exam is of-
18-28 years for Open category.
18-31 years for OBC category.
18-33 years for SC/ST category.
18-38 years for PH category.
