Re: What criteria is required to become a Chartered Accountant?

The entry level for all the students is the same. Every student intending to take up the professional accounting course of CA (Chartered Accountancy) has to qualify in the CPT (Common Proficiency Test).
Graduate students are not provided any exemption from appearing at this level.
A student is eligible to register for the CPT (Common Proficiency Test) after 10th Standard, but can appear at the examination only after appearing in the 10 + 2 examinations.
There is no minimum % marks specified for entry to this level either in the 10th standard examination or the 10 + 2 examination. Moreover, students of any group can take up this course.

Re: What criteria is required to become a Chartered Accountant?

You have not mentioned what is your educational qualification. The minimum eligibility criterion for registering for the CA course is 10th class. You need to attend the CPT after 12th class. This is the first level exam which is conducted. If you qualify in the CPT you can join IPCC. You should pass in both the groups of exam in IPCC. After passing IPCC, you can join for the 3 years practical training. You can join the CA final course after that.

    Dear friend.

    * common proficiency test: It is accessible by the 12th passed candidates in any discipline. It is not compulsary and can be exempted if you are graduate or a gazzetted officer taking you to the next level of the course.

    * Integrated professional competence course(IPCC): It is accessible by the graduates or the gazzetted officers in any field. If they are graduate in commerce with 55% or the non commerce ones with 60% can directly take the admission in the course.

*final course: The course is accessible only after clearing the IPCC followed by compulsary 100 hours of TTI and a computer training course.

The syllabus of the entire course is as follows:

CA i.e Chartered Accountant is a very prestigious post.

It is really good career choice.

Firstly one has to pass ICAI's proficency exam.

Then one has to clear CPT exam after 12th Commerce.

    Joining of PCC is afterwards.

HR Training is there after that.

Professional Competence Exam has to be taken after that.

Training of 3.5 years has to be taken after that.

    Then there is final exam.

After which there is ICAI's enrollment.

    That's all my friend.

But you really has to work hard for becoming a CA.

    Thank You.

    Regards
