UPSC conducts the CDS examinations every year for recruitment of eligible aspirants to fill in the vacancies in the Government sector. Those who clear the test and the interview thereafter can expect employments in Indian Military Academy or Naval Academy. Through the test, one can also get placements in Air Force Academy or Officers’ Training Academy. As you are pursuing the 3rd year of engineering graduation, firstly complete the course with good percentage. Engineering graduates are qualified to apply for the CDA test. It is not so easy to clear the test. As it is a really hard one, you have to prepare really well to clear the test and interview. Only unmarried male candidates can apply for the same. Under upsc CDS exam will be conducted.CDS exam will held twice in year,they call has CDS-I and CDS-2.CDS-I exam notification will release in the month of Sept every year.And CDS-II exam notification will release in the month of April every year.This year notification for CDS-II exam.The application is being issued from 30th April 2011 to 30th May 2011.And exam will be held on 18th Sept 2011.

Combined Defence Service examination is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. To apply for
the CDSE exam a candidate should have a graduate degree. The detailed eligibility criteria for

CDS entrance exam is conducted by UPSC every year ,they conduct the exam to recruit the right people to the govt. sector .The exam which is conducted by UPSC is not that easy to clear ,the exam is tough and competitive .Once if you are passed then you have to appear for the interview , if you successfully pass in interview also then you will be selected for job .You can get job in Indian military ,Indian navy you can also get placement in the air force academy .
Since you are pursuing your 3rd year engineering graduation you should concentrate more in your studies ,along with that you spend little time for the preparation of CDS exam , as i told that the exam is tough and competitve you have to prepare very well to succeed in the exam .
One more thing you note that your age should not exceed 24 for Indian military
and should not exceed 23for air force age should not be more than 21 for Naval

CDS is the exam for entering into defence services ,Here the minimum qualification for the exam is that you should be graduate in any discipline ,Your age limit should be 19-25 years ,The exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year in the month of Feb and September every year.!!!

Eligibility : MERCHANT NAVY
-Unmarried male
