Well there's no compulsion of taking any particular stream for your 10th an 12th.you could probably take up any course of your choice.well the options appear once you are done with your class 12.i'll mention a few options please take a look.

B.Sc - Interior Designing (ID)
Diploma in CAD Virtual Draping and 3D Modelling (DVD)
Graduate Diploma in Interior Designing - GDID
you could even do a b.tech., in civil and later on pursue a course in interior designing which would also be magnificent.

Obtain a bachelor's degree in interior design from a college whose design program has been accredited by the Foundation for Interior Design Education Research (FIDER). Peruse FIDER's Web site (fider.org) for a list of approved programs.

Include computer-aided design (CAD) courses in your electives like Engineering Graphics. As a designer you will be expected to know how to use computers to create your space designs.

It is good to see that you had decided your aim at right time.In order to become interior designer you must prefer science stream.As this type of course is new so it have a wide scope in future,you must be good in drawing.In class 11th & 12th take fine art subject as optional subject,it will help you in future very much if you are realy interested in interior designing.After completing 12th you have to give National Institute of Fashion Technology(NIFT) entrance exam.This exam is not too much tough but selection procedure is very tough.There is 25% negative marking in wrong answer.Paper will be made from 10th level.Paper will consists of science,maths,english & general knowledge.
ELIGLBLITY:-Eligiblity for such exam is that a candidate must be pass 12th standard with good marks.

=>Anyone who is interested can take a job as an interor designer.

You can enroll for the interior design course after 10th or 12th standard education.
If you want to do Bachelor Degree you can go for the BFA i.e., Bachelor of Fine Arts which can be done after completing you 12 th
