    Dear friend !

    UPSC conducts the examination for recruitment of IAS, IPS, IFS.
    you can take any of the subjects given below to be an IAS officer..
    *science stream:- PCM+english, PCB+maths+english.
    *Commerce stream
    *Arts stream.
    then complete your graduation with any discipline from a recognised university so that you would be able to appear for civil services exam.
    your age should be between 21-30 years to appear in UPSC.

    There is nothing like that of taking a specific course after your 10th!!!! You can take up any stream you want , and at what side you are interested in. Because, You have really a nice thought of becoming in IAS officer in future.

    So, In order to get that you should behave and think like an IAS Officer from now only !!!! It Sounds crazy !!! But, Its true. For instance, if you take any stream in Inter with your interest (Not for the sake of others) then you can really achieve what ever you want..


    You just need to keep calm and think about choosing a correct stream in Inter which helps you and take the stream according to your stream.
    There's a nice saying going on these days. Do what you love !!! Love what you do !!!!!! Just follow that funda !!!! You will surely get succeed.

    If you are interested in Maths, then go up with MPC or MEC
    If you are interested in Science, then go for Bi.P.C
    If you have arts in your mind, then choose CEC


    Like this you can choose your stream in Inter.
    Now I will give you the full details of IAS.

    IAS will be done in 3phases:
    1.Civil Service Aptitude Test(CSAT)
    2.Main Exams
    3.Interview



    Preliminary or simply CSAT is the first tier within the 3 stage IAS exam.
    It's usually conducted around 2nd or third Sunday each May in which around 1.5 lac IAS aspirants appear for the Preliminary.

    2nd Stage in IAS Exam Pattern(Mains)::
    The 2nd phase Mains contains the score of 2000 Marks.

    You are required to select 2 optional papers for the civil services Mains, while GS and Essay are standard to all people.
    Mandatory Papers in Mains:
    - English, and one Indian language paper

    3rd and Final Stage in IAS Exam::
    The third level is considered the Employment interview level conducted by a group of specialists in the UPSC hq located at Shahjahan Road, Delhi.

    Eligibility criteria for IAS::

    • You must be an Indian
    • Age limits for IAS:
    • You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
    • The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:
    • upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.
    • upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes(BC's)
    • You must complete your Graduation Degree(No restriction in Min.Percent)
    Number of attempts::
    - General candidates: four attempts.
    - Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction.
    - Other Backward Classes: seven attempts.

    Eligibility criteria IAS exam
    • Candidate must have degree or equivalent from any recognized university .
    • Candidate's between 21 years to 30 years are eligible .
    • Candidate appeared for final year examination and waiting for result are also eligible on provisional basis.


    So, you can take any stream after 10th class for IAS Entrance exam.

    Exam Pattern for IAS prelims exam
    • Paper - I General Studies ------ 150 Marks
    • Paper - II Optional subjects -----300 Marks

    Exam Pattern for IAS Main Exam
    • Paper-1 Indian Languages
    • Paper-2 English
    • Paper-3 Essay
    • Papers -4 General Studies
    • Papers Last Section optional subjects

    About Civil Services Examination :

    Nice to see your Interest in Civil services examination, If your aim is to become IAS Officer in future then for this you Have to cracked the UPSC Civil services examination, This examination is conducted by UPSC Comission every year, To apply for this examination you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised university. So UPSC Conducts Civil Service Examinations every year to select officers for the All India Civil Services and the Central Civil Services (Grade A and Grade B). The examination is a three stage process which consists of Civil Services Aptitude Test CSAT, Main Examination and the Interview.

    Firstly you have to cracked the UPSC Preliminary examination only then you are eligible to appear for Main examination. Preliminary examination is Objective Test and there are 2 papers in this examination and Both are Held in same day, Main examination was Descriptive and you have to choose the Subjects as per your Graduation.

    General candidates will get 4 Attempts to cracked this examination, OBC Will get 7 Attempts and No Limits for SC/ST Candidates.

    To apply for this examination, Your age should between 21 to 30 years. Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    Final year graduate candidates are also apply for Civil services examination.     For the IAS exam you should take Arts stream and if you want to being an IAS then do follwoing steps-
    1)
    First choose arts stream in 11th class as this is best for being an IAS in future..
    2)
    Continue with your arts stream in 12th also...
    3)
    Now you have done your 12th as you know for IAS minimum eligiblity is Graduation so you have to take admission in graduation course..
    4)
    Now you are graduated candidate so now you can fill up the forms of IAS exam...
    5)
    Try to crack IAS exam./..
    6)
    If Cracked then you are now IAS..
    7)
    If not then try next year...

    Dear friend,
    My friend 10th is basic step for your future which decide wheer you will go after this so in 11th class choose subjects very wisely.

    ONly after graduation you can apply for CSAT exam to become a IAS/IPS offficer.

    If you want to start IAS preparation then first you should know that its a difficult process,people left it in mid way.first you have to have a lot of patience,do hard work and be determine.Only then you can achieve which you want.

    UPSC conducts CSAT exam for civil services every year.This exam is conducted to select candidates for civil services like IAS,IPS,IFS.

    Eligibility for CSAT:

    1.You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age,33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs

    2.Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs.

    3.You should have a graduate degree from any college which is recognized by UGC, or possess an equivalent qualification.

    4.If you are in the final semester or have taken their final degree exam but are awaiting the results can also appear for the IPS Preliminary examination provided they furnish their proof of degree while filling the Mains form.


    Procedure is follows:

    There will be two written exam and after that interviews will be there .All three are elimination round.You have to perform good in all three rounds.

    From last year some changes have been done to increase the efficiency of the exam. In new pattern
    give special emphasize on the aptitude skills and decision making skills of the participating candidates.
    1.In pre exam two papers will be there,each of two hours a) General studies and b)Optional subject.Objective type questions will be asked.

    2.Main paper comprises of 9 papers,each of three hours.One of the Indian languages,2 papers on general studies ,2 papers on option-1 and 2 papers on optional-2.

    3. In the end interview will be there.Interview will be of 5-7 hrs.

    4.Merit list will be out.

    Following things will be in paper:

    Comprehension
    Logical reasoning and analytical ability
    Decision-making and Problem-solving
    General Mental Ability (GMA)
    Data Interpretation

    Important dates:

    1.The prelims will be held around May-June.

    2.The main written examination usually takes place in Oct-Nov.

    3.Interview will take place in the month of April-May.

    Dear candidate,
    There is no such compulsion in upsc for ias officer exam..
    You can take any stream after 10th whether you want to become IAS officer in future...
    For that you must have completed graduation degree...
    It doesn't matter which subjects you take in 12th and graduation....
    Feel free and select any stream as your interest..

    For appearing to IAS ( Indian Administrative Services ) the candidates must have to qualify UPSC Civil Services Examination.

    And the educational qualification required to IAS Examination :
    The candidates must have completd Grduation .
    So after 10th class study complete your 12th class study .
    And than complete Graduation .

    Age limit : 21 years to 30 years.

    UPSC Civil Services Examination examination is conducted in two steps :
    1 ) Preliminary Examination
    2 ) Mains Examination.
    And the Preliminary and Mains qualified are called for Perssonel Interview.

    Well friend there is no restriction in which stream you study after 10th because there is no specific coarse available for becoming an IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officer.

    If you want to become an IAS officer you have to write the civil service exam conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year.

    The following are the eligible criteria for writing this exam

    + Minimum Educational Qualification : Any Bachelor degree.

    + Nationality : Indian

    + Age limit : 21 - 30 years (+5 yrs for SC & ST).

    +No.of attempt :

    General Caste -4

    OBC -7

    ST & SC - no limit

    There are totally three division in this exam

    1.Preliminary test

    2.Mains and

    3.Interview.

    Requirement for IAS exams:
    UPSC conduct on IAS,IPS,IFS Exams.
    Age limit for thease exam are 21-30 for OCs.
    4 attempts allowed for thease exam.
    Edu qualification is complete any one of bachelor degree from regaganized university.
    There are 3 stages on this exams.
    Totally 2000 marks in this exams.
