Re: What are the compulsory subjects in B.Sc?

Bachelor in Science is a three year degree course.
It has to be pursued after +2.

There is no subject compulsion in B.Sc.

It depends upon the stream in B.Sc that you have opted for.

For example, if you opt for B.Sc (GEN), you will have to learn the entire PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) group.

If you go for B.Sc in (HONS), you will mainly focus on the subject of honors- Botany/Zoology/Chemistry/Physics.

Apart from the conventional B.Sc courses, you can go for various other B.Sc courses like-

If you go for B.Sc Computer Science, you will have to study Mathematics and Physics.
Hence, here a B.Sc student should also be a Maths student.

If you go for B.Sc Biotechnology, you will have to study Biotechnology (Specific Subject), Botany/Zoology, Chemistry

Similarly, B.Sc can also be done in Clinical Nutrition, Pharmacy, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, etc.

Hence, subjects in B.Sc are stream dependent.

Re: What are the compulsory subjects in B.Sc?

    Hello,
By compulsory subjects do you mean your honors or major subject? Or do you mean the additional subjects that we take with honors in BSc.
Well I will give you an idea for both. For taking an honors you can prefer Physics/Maths/Electronics. Also you have Computer Science, Pscycology and other options but from today's job point of view the former 3 options are the best. I have seen many universities and schools want teachers and lecturers for physics, maths, chemistry. Very few options are open today for other genres in B.Sc. Also when ypou take any of these subjects as your major, you will have to take your 1st language(Hindi/Bengali,etc) and English language and 2 other science subjects as your pass subjects. These 2 science subjects can be any from biology/physics/chemistry leaving the one that you have as your major.
